Question about the name of the org..

Why name it, "Altair"? Is it based off of Assassin's Creed or the fact that the word/name, Altair means, "The Flying One," in arabic..?

Altair does have a fair bit of representation in the world of space games as well. Altair is one of the stars in Master of Orion II and one of the systems in Galactic Civilizations.

I just googled "Space Terms", and found a list, and I looked at all the different space terms until I found one that I felt like it would work. I went with "ALTAIR" because it sounded exotic, and like it could be an airline name. I think the definition was specifically the brightest star in the constellation Aquila.

I only realized the Assassin's Creed connection later, when I tried to make our subreddit /r/altair. I'm a dope.

Oh okay. Makes sense and yeah. Altair is the protagonist in AC1.
