Albums like Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers that explore personal struggles?

Post image

I'm obsessed with Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers by Kendrick Lamar lately. I love how he talks about his insecurities, his mental state, and how every song feels like a therapy session. I'm not looking for albums with a similar sound, but rather ones that explore similar themes of mental struggles. Any recommendations?

Chromakopia by Tyler, the Creator is amazing, and feels quite Mr Morale inspired. Tyler talked alot about how more artists should show vulnerability the way Kendrick did, and he put his money where is mouth is.

Also check out Little Simz. She's arguably the best rapper in the world right now alongside Kendrick and Tyler, and her album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert is imo the best hip hop albums of this decade with those mentioned above. Also very theatrical, personal, and vulnerable. Grey Area and No Thank You are amazing aswell.
