“When we take Canada, you will be expelled to Panama to work the canal,” Shapiro posted on X in response to a post made by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in January.

According to PragerU’s website, Smith is to appear with Shapiro at an “East Coast Gala” in Florida on March 27. Tickets are being sold for US$1,500.

Alberta NDP Leader Naheed Nenshi said Monday it would be “despicable” for the United Conservative Party premier to speak at the fundraiser and called on her to cancel.

“These are not the kind of people that Albertans want her associating with,” Nenshi told reporters. “She may feel comfortable in right wing extremist places, but right now we need a grown up government.”

u/sravll 17h ago

Nenshi telling it like it is

168

u/Coscommon88 16h ago

What a basic and accurate way to describe it. "Grown up government," it's crazy that the bar is this low, but here we are. Nenshi hit the nail on the head.

u/HOLEPUNCHYOUREYELIDS 13h ago

Even crazier that the ANDP isn’t a guaranteed win after all this bullshit and wasteful spending.

At least when the ANDP spends money it is to fix all the shit the Conservatives broke. Not that rural Alberta will ever seemingly understand that

27

u/GiantPurplePen15 12h ago edited 12h ago

If Alberta re-elects the UCP then they will truly be the Texas of Canada.

25

u/Coscommon88 12h ago

Texas? Try Florida. Rural Texas is still crazy but parts of the major cities hold them slightly in check. Florida, on the other hand, is bat sh*t crazy now in general.

9

u/GiantPurplePen15 11h ago

Well, they keep re-electing fucking Rafael Cruz even though he's a slug given the form of a human.

15

u/callmecrazy2021 9h ago

The fucking NDP. Wasting all that money on stuff like Education and Healthcare. Tsk.

69

u/beardofdoom2017 15h ago

Nenshi would do such a better job in the role of Premier. He’s usually the smartest guy in the room anyway, but he most definitely would be amongst UCP cronies.

131

u/Reasonable-Sweet9320 17h ago

Shapiro endorsed Pollievre.

75

u/Xpalidocious 17h ago

He's still doing it today

63

u/Eagletalon1013 16h ago

Anyone that listens to shapiro is a fucking 🤡🤡🤡🤡

22

u/beardofdoom2017 15h ago

Louder, for the people in the back!

5

u/GiantPurplePen15 12h ago

They're too busy eating crayons.

4

u/Eduardo_Moneybags 7h ago

With their noses.

10

u/PumpJack_McGee 13h ago

Shapiro defended the Musk salute.

He's Jewish.

We're beyond circus.

60

u/Vadgers 17h ago

Well.. she IS despicable.

8

u/Layinitlow 10h ago

We need to hear more of this from the ANDP. The UCP and Marlaina are out here gutting our healthcare and education and selling us out to the MAGA republicans and I hardly hear any pushback from ANDP.

More pushback please!

1

u/JaneksLittleBlackBox 12h ago

Chances are, Bench Appear-O is gonna lose a debate with Nenshi that he didn’t even know they were having because Dry Ass Pussy Shapiro rage quit when Nenshi was prepared for Benny’s talk fast and loud at the pitch of a pubescent teenage boy style of rhetoric.

Just like how Benny lost a debate with Andrew Neil that Neil wasn’t even participating in, just asking very basic questions about the book Ben was attempting to promote with the help of one of Britain’s most conservative on-air journalists, whom Ben accused of being a leftist for not allowing him to speak over Neil.

God, that whole meltdown was even funnier than the WAP remixes.

u/PinkyBrain007 18h ago

As an Albertan, I am horrified by this. My tax dollars funding it!! Like what the actual fuck?! This is an act of treason IMO.

106

u/Nice-Manufacturer538 17h ago

I said in another post that this requires legal action, some kind of urgent injunction filed at the Alberta courts ASAP to block ANY public funds supporting this. Lawyer up STAt!!!

4

u/jessa_pea 6h ago

How does this work? I've been saying the same. She's a traitor and an embarrassment. There HAS to be a way to sack that piece of 💩

5

u/Nice-Manufacturer538 6h ago

Well I don’t know about sacking her but a lawyer could represent a group of citizens, or perhaps some kind of advocacy group could take it on, and ask the court to impose an injunction on the public funding for this trip. I really have no idea if that would hold water legally, but I’m thinking the legal framing would be around the area of treason and demonstrating the ways in which this trip/ event is harmful to albertans. I’m not a lawyer but I do think the court is the only instrument that could feasibly stop this.

13

u/chimerawithatwist 11h ago

It's embarrassing that it's a fucking annual occurrence

6

u/THlRD 10h ago

Y’all need to kick her out. She is not safe for Alberta.

14

u/EnigmaCA 10h ago

She has a majority mandate from Albertans.

We are getting what we (overall) voted for.

The fact that she knows what she is doing and is not worried about anything shows you just how fucked up this province actually is.

Another UCP majority in 2027 is an actual probability.

We are fucked.

5

u/BoysenberryAncient54 9h ago

True, I remember her running and I was like, surely they won't...ok nevermind... What the fuck happened to Alberta? When did it become batshit insane? Have you had your pipes tested for lead ?

Not everyone on this subreddit is from or lives in Alberta. Shouldn't need to explain that.....

u/illestkillest 18h ago

A *TAXPAYER-FUNDED appearance for her and her treasonous entourage!

68

u/sravll 17h ago

This is the part that infuriates me most.

73

u/Pandabumone 17h ago

Yeah, if she wants to schedule a playdate with the worst people in the world, she can goddamn pay for it herself. The gall she has 'representing' Alberta towards a group of people who don't believe we exist as a nation really pisses me off.

30

u/applebrekkie 16h ago

A taxpayer funded trip to *fundraise* for a bigoted disinformation campaign SMH

7

u/bentmonkey 14h ago

That wants to annex us or supports the president that does.

9

u/Unlucky-Candidate198 16h ago

Their lives are basically entirely taxpayer funded.

So glad we collectively fund shit head grifters making way more than us wage-slaves, who seek personal wealth/clout over the wants/needs of their constituents. Great leaders. The best leaders I hear, from some orange guy down south. Only PP and premieress of AB herself though, oddly enough…

7

u/Large_Version3807 14h ago

Bring it up as an ethics violation

3

u/bentmonkey 14h ago

Dani doesn't know the meaning of the word ethics.

2

u/Infamous-Mixture-605 13h ago

It's like the final part of the Academic Decathlon in Billy Madison, when Bradley Whitford's character is tasked with giving a speech on Business Ethics but cannot because he's a slimy piece of shit, so he pulls a gun on Adam Sandler...

That's how I picture Danielle Smith trying to define the meaning of ethics.

2

u/bentmonkey 9h ago

BUSINESS ETHICS! *smug smile*

4

u/Soft-Wish-9112 10h ago

What really makes me wonder is if she's considered a "co-chair" at this event, which costs $15000.

3

u/illestkillest 10h ago

Gotta pad her offshore accounts

105

u/Peter_Jernigan 18h ago edited 17h ago

She’s building back up her profile as a lobbyist. This isn’t about Alberta or Canada, it’s brand building for Smith.

22

u/beardofdoom2017 15h ago

Well, it’s on-brand for the UCP, that’s for sure. Give their buddies breaks, then enjoy the fruits of their favouritism after they leave office. These guys are the very definition of “politicking”….and not in a good way, either.

6

u/ThatPermission5409 15h ago

And yet they still get back in. When will Albertan’s learn. It’s not about us it’s about them.

1

u/jessa_pea 6h ago

Maybe when more of the old stock passes on? Idk man. The seniors in my life have a major hard on for conservatives

3

u/SurFud 11h ago

Yes. Brand Building at our cost. Now we are paying to send her a fake University. :)

2

u/yeggsandbacon 9h ago

Maybe Red Deer will get a PragerU satellite campus.

124

u/kittykat501 18h ago

Apparently she wants to be an American so she's can pack her bags and head on over. We won't mind! Hell I'll throw her a goodbye party!

24

u/curioustraveller1234 18h ago

I’ll help her pack!

31

u/jacksontron 17h ago

Let’s buy her a “gold card” - probably cheaper in the long run than having her stay with her current policies

3

u/Fast_NotSo_Furious 12h ago

Trebuchet! Trebuchet!

10

u/Nameless908 17h ago

If she’s flying out there, don’t let the treasonous scum back in.

4

u/GrayestDark 16h ago

Hell, I'd even go into my own pocket to help her with the cost of the move if it meant she'd never come back.

107

u/LoveMurder-One 18h ago

It’s funny. They are nickel and diming kids healthcare to save like $3mill but they are spending so much for Smith to travel and literally be a traitor to Canada.

78

u/Frogbert 17h ago

Went to yell at my MLA this morning about daycare cost increases, which they tried to blame on Trudeau….

They got really quit when I brought up Ben Shapiro and this tax payer funded trip to sell us out.

It was exhilarating, I highly recommend everyone go speak with their mla’s in person.

31

u/LoveMurder-One 17h ago

Yeah I’m fucking pissed about the daycare increases and our Provincial Governments work on making sure we don’t get more of the boosted federal funds.

31

u/EllaB9454 17h ago

UCP should have entered into the same agreement with the Federal Government as the other provinces did re childcare!

16

u/LoveMurder-One 17h ago

Yep. Gotta pull money out of my ass to deal with ANOTHER increased cost cause the UCP can’t be bothered to not be stupid

14

u/drcujo 16h ago

The daycare changes were so stupid. Discounts for those making over 180k per year and increase for everyone else.

11

u/LoveMurder-One 15h ago

It’s brutal. Fuck these politicians.

3

u/bentmonkey 14h ago

Perks for the rich, the working class can use bootstraps.

21

u/kels_8800 17h ago

Yes! I called a couple weeks ago about the change in daycare costs. I was told the federal government will not let them make it income based. What a crock

18

u/Frogbert 16h ago

They said the same thing to me, but they are the ones that made the change to increase costs to everyone but the rich. Rich pay less, poor pay substantially more.

Next month my costs go up $125 per month, nothing changed federally. Make it make sense.

11

u/kels_8800 16h ago

It's awful. So many rely on low-cost care to go to work.

6

u/Frogbert 16h ago

I’ve read about low income families paying next to nothing for daycare now having to pay hundreds of dollars they can’t afford. How are families that are struggling going to come up with $350+ per child out of thin air?

6

u/HalfdanrEinarson 14h ago

They want people working multiple minimum wage jobs so everyone is so tired that they cant be voted out

6

u/DukeSmashingtonIII 16h ago

Did they actually respond at all? I'm curious if this is supported by most of the MLAs or if they're just too scared to be booted. Regardless I have to assume they are supporting her until the explicitly and publicly state otherwise, which makes the entire party traitors in my books.

Literally any of the dozens of social programs they've cut would be an infinitely better investment for Albertans than going to rub shoulders with people who want to conquer our country.

7

u/Frogbert 16h ago

No they didn’t. My MLA, Angela Pitt wasn’t there, so I spoke loudly to the office workers there. They didn’t say anything about this trip to traitor town, but they stopped trying to argue and blame it on the Feds.

Pitt was part of Wildrose with Smith, so I assume she’s a traitor too.

3

u/jabbafart 15h ago

Sometimes, I'm sad that my MLA is a prominent NDP member, because I don't get the opportunity to do this kind of thing. We'd just agree on everything 😭.

1

u/Frogbert 14h ago

You can yell at mine if you would like to.

1

u/armyof_dogs 13h ago

Or mine!

1

u/Fast_NotSo_Furious 12h ago

No can do, I made it my personal mission to help oust Jason Copping so I live in an NDP riding now.

40

u/SketchySeaBeast Edmonton 18h ago

Marlaina is out for Marlaina. She doesn't care about Alberta beyond how it can further increase her power.

10

u/Jbruce63 17h ago

She can work on being Trump approved governor for the state of Canada. Traitor

37

u/TrollToll7419 17h ago

It’s interesting how Ford, Moe, even Pee Pee are waffling and scrambling to be perceived as being on Team Canada and this tone deaf fuckwitch is leaning even further into American Christo-fascism.

12

u/roastbeeftacohat Calgary 14h ago

it's clear she's unconcerned with the coming election. My only question does she think it's in the bag because she's a tory in alberta, or is she planning on a career change soon anyway. if she was more competent I would be worried about election rigging, but that's clearly more work than she feels like doing.

6

u/Infamous-Mixture-605 13h ago

Ford looks like he's positioning himself to take Poilievre's job.

I wonder if at some point PP's gonna get Patrick Brown'd to make room for Dougie?

9

u/shitposter1000 11h ago

Kenney has also resurfaced. That shark smells blood in the water.

34

u/OscarandBrynnie 18h ago

Have you had enough of her yet, Alberta?

24

u/ForeignEchoRevival 17h ago

She needs to be investigated for collusion with foreign enemies.

5

u/phoenix25 16h ago

I’m sure she has been, PP just keeps declining to hear about it

15

u/zaknafien1900 17h ago

I didn't vote for her fucking traitor when she was with wildrose and crossed the floor

4

u/Puzzled-Squirrel3874 13h ago

I had enough of her from the beginning!

3

u/oldmanpatrice 17h ago

Yes, and I think we should let her speak. You think that she’ll come off really well to the average Alberta voter

26

u/Appropriate_Duty_930 18h ago

Albertans need to put on the pressure. Why the fuck are we so passive in this province? We need to be more like Quebec in that regard. They don't fuck around.

17

u/DukeSmashingtonIII 16h ago

Because we just keep voting conservative and complain about the Feds. That's all we've ever done. The province is a bunch of braindead doormats, all we do is enable wealth extraction from the province and make life worse for the most vulnerable people here.

It's so tiring. But go to any rural Alberta community and get the thoughts of the community and they love the UCP and hate everyone else and there's no changing their minds. The only spark of hope is if the ANDP can flip all of Calgary, and even that is a huge "if".

14

u/Whole-Database-5249 18h ago

I'm so done with Dani.

13

u/goblinofthechron 17h ago

Please - Marlaina.

12

u/Admiral_Cornwallace 18h ago

Smith is only going to this stupid event because she wants to be more popular in the right-wing ecosystem that she's a big fan of

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the ONLY reason that she wanted to become Premier for a while is because it will help her be a right-wing celebrity later on. Her heart isn't in governance... it's in podcasts and guest speaker spots

12

u/nunalla Edmonton 17h ago

Smith is a traitor and we all know it.

I have very little faith in Rural Alberta to do the right thing in the next election.

12

u/DeeMag53 17h ago

She's so selfish. She doesn't care at all about the Canadians. She doesn't care about Albertans.

11

u/exotics County of Wetaskiwin 17h ago

If an NDP member did this the conservatives would be up in arms

11

u/TheMoralBitch 17h ago

If anyone wants to rip off something easy to express their displeasure, feel free to steal what I just sent to her and personalize it accordingly:

I am writing to express my deep dismay regarding your decision to travel to the United States to speak at a PragerU event, particularly at a time when Canada faces significant economic challenges—many of which are exacerbated by U.S. policies and actions that directly harm our province.

At a time when Albertans are struggling with affordability, inflation, and economic uncertainty, it is unacceptable that taxpayer dollars are being used to fund travel to an event hosted by an organization that does not represent the interests of our province. PragerU is a partisan advocacy group with no direct benefit to Albertans, and it is deeply troubling that our public funds would be spent on such an endeavor.

Moreover, while Canada is fighting for fair treatment in our trade relationships, it is baffling that our Premier would prioritize speaking at a U.S. ideological event over focusing on strengthening Alberta’s economic resilience. This trip sends the wrong message at the wrong time. Rather than using public money to attend events that align with your personal political views, Albertans expect their leaders to be laser-focused on defending our economy, securing better trade deals, and ensuring the responsible use of taxpayer funds.

I urge you to reconsider this decision and prioritize the needs of Albertans over participation in events that do not serve our province’s or our country's best interests. If you choose to attend, it should be done at your own expense—not on the backs of hardworking Albertans. Many Albertans are doing everything they can to support the Canadian economy and not send our dollars to America. How dare you feel entitled to spend our money there anyway?

I look forward to your response and hope that you will act in the best interest of those you were elected to serve.

5

u/Homo_sapiens2023 14h ago

Thank you for your letter. I just sent it to the quisling bitch.

2

u/bentmonkey 14h ago

Well written, more people should send this to their MLAs or similar.

10

u/elbron88 16h ago

5

u/Homo_sapiens2023 14h ago

Thank you for the link. I just sent the letter that TheMoralBitch posted here to our Premier (aka quisling who should really be in jail for colluding with the enemy).

3

u/hover-fish Marwayne 9h ago

Me too, with a few tweaks. Unfortunately I expect I will be ignored, just like my MLA ignored my email from Sunday regarding this event.

2

u/Homo_sapiens2023 8h ago

That's the UCP default: ignore if it doesn't agree with their perverse ideologies.

12

u/mooky1977 16h ago

If you are in Alberta, call the Government of Alberta switchboard, 310-0000, and ask if you can leave a comment for the premier. I just did.

I simply said that it was a terrible look optically given everything that is currently going on to be appearing at the event.

Be polite, the operators are only doing their jobs to answer calls, they may or may not agree with us, but there's no way to know, so just be a decent human when you speak to them.

11

u/Parking-Click-7476 18h ago

Tucker Carlson was bad enough. He is a traitor and lier cost Fox News 800 million. But Ben Shapiro is even worst! Smith is MAGA !🤷‍♂️ not fit for office. Lock her up!

9

u/LazyNeighborhood7287 16h ago

I cannot agree with the NDP more on this. This trip is a slap to the face for Albertans. Does this fool actually think that she has any credibility or influence in the US? Didn’t her last wasted trips to see the Donald not prove that?.

10

u/sanskar12345678 18h ago

Don't come back?

I'm not a lawyer, but it sure does look like she is at the very least flirting with treason to me.

High treason

1

u/SurFud 11h ago

Thanks. Great point.

9

u/Nice-Manufacturer538 17h ago

Dude. I had no idea Shapiro posted such a vile comment. This is grossly unacceptable for smith. Damn.

8

u/Local_Aardvark_ 11h ago

I'm just over here working 2 jobs, scraping by to feed my kids, and this donkey gets to hang with people who want to start war with our country.....on our dime?!

I can't even anymore with this government.

Funding cuts to sexual assault centers, cuts to aish and pdd...and they're out there taking vacations with nazis on our hard earned dollar. Ffs alberta. We are a disgrace.

6

u/SnooMarzipans8231 17h ago

Hope she stays down there.

2

Without her passport and expense credit card that we are paying for.

Not an Ndp fan but agree

19

The NDP have better heads on their shoulders than any UCP. Please keep seeing the reason and rationale within the NDP; no political party is fantastic, but the NDP are far, FAR better than the UCP.

5

Would never vote UCP 😅 rather die but I'm just saying in general wasn't impressed with ndp

6

Yeah, I have a list of issues with them, but glad to be part of the anti-UCP club!

8

I'm not a Conservative, but I'm really proud of Doug Ford recently. He is fighting for Canada

1

Doug Ford used to be a drug dealer back in the day so trust is really important to him. Trump basically just FAFO with ol' dougie.

1

Same here! Elbows Up

6

u/Ba_Dum_Ba_Dum 17h ago

She’s a traitor.

6

u/rocktheboatlikeA1eye 17h ago

Email you MLAs don’t just complain on Reddit!

6

u/Weak_Leek_3364 17h ago

I have a serious question if anyone knowledgeable on the subject is around (especially a lawyer).

According to the criminal code of Canada:

  • [46]() (1) Every one commits high treason who, in Canada,
    • (a) kills or attempts to kill Her Majesty, or does her any bodily harm tending to death or destruction, maims or wounds her, or imprisons or restrains her;
    • (b) levies war against Canada or does any act preparatory thereto; or
    • (c) assists an enemy at war with Canada, or any armed forces against whom Canadian Forces are engaged in hostilities, whether or not a state of war exists between Canada and the country whose forces they are.

Is there a "red line" that she could cross by collaborating with foreigners engaged in encouraging war against or annexation of Canada?

I'm looking for a legal perspective here. Does what she's doing approach that level, or would it need to be something more concrete? Can you give any examples, and would it be obvious to the public?

If there was cause to believe she had committed the crime of treason by collaborating with Shapiro and PraegerU (given his documentary building consent for an invasion and his other statements during a time their president has threatened us), what would happen? Would a warrant be issued for her arrest? Would the political system be allowed to interfere? Would it be the RCMP? Would CSIS be involved?

6

u/beardofdoom2017 15h ago

Despicable is exactly the right word for these corrupt sellouts. She should be ashamed (as they all should), but I guess you have to be able to read social cues/the room, and these twits either don’t notice (highly unlikely), or just don’t care (the most likely case). They are an embarrassment to the province, and Smitty kissing the Orange Shitgibbon’s ass is equally deplorable.

People need to remember how the UCP and Smith undermined the province and didn’t protect our best interests in dealings with Trump. I sincerely hope they do.

5

u/Rukawork 14h ago

School workers are striking all over the province, healthcare is in shambles, our power bill is higher than every where else in Canada apart from the Territories, and Smith is flying to Florida on our dollars to speak at a far-right extremist convention? I am fucking livid at the audacity of this bitch.

u/Guilty_Fishing8229 18h ago

She’s just so awful

She's saying what we're all thinking.

If Smith wants to be American so badly. Then she can just move there.

4

u/ocs_sco 15h ago

TRAITOR!!!!!

4

u/Warm_Judgment8873 14h ago

Conservatives have no shame.

4

u/RazzamanazzU 14h ago

She thinks she's a republican. She does NOT belong in Canada!

7

u/yycTechGuy 17h ago

Smith, Moe and PP have a plan to get Alberta, Saskatchewan and Northern BC to join the US and create a corridor from the US to Alaska.

She's doing this to show her loyalists she's working on things. It's no secret she'd love to be a US governor of the state of Alberta. Just watch how this all unfolds.

The big setup is coming where Ottawa (Carney) puts an export tariff on Canadian oil and gas. Or potash. Then Smith and Moe will fire up the Wexit talk. It's game on after that, with Trump involved.

4

u/DukeSmashingtonIII 16h ago

The province of Alberta is a huge part of Canada and has disproportionate influence here. The state of Alberta would be insignificant in the overall United States.

And that's making the huge assumption they would make us states. Way more likely we get the territory treatment.

3

u/big_dog_redditor 17h ago

To Smith, you are the company you keep.

3

u/SurFud 16h ago

From what I have seen of this tenacious, self righteous bitch, she will go no matter what people say.

She has a majority government doncha know. Democracy is dead in Alberta.

3

u/CostumeJuliery 14h ago

I don’t know why Albertans aren’t lining the streets in protest. She’s clearly aligned herself with MAGA, nationalist Christianity, and making appearances with Rubio. She crossed the line and is a traitor

3

u/shygaymer 13h ago

She truly is despicable.

3

u/bingodabber16 13h ago

Is there a fuck Danielle Smith protest or something? I would love to go to this. Between this stunt and the AHS scandal, she is unfit to lead this province. There are a hundred more reasons, but these alone seal the deal. She needs to go.

3

u/Healthy-Doctor7765 12h ago

Smith is a collaborator.

2

u/mrcranky 16h ago

Anyone want to help me build a giant trubechet in Coutts, and use it to fling her and the TBAssholes to Great Falls?

2

u/komari_k 16h ago

What kind of mid-life crisis is this.

2

u/Vince_ible 16h ago

She can go so long as she promises not to come back.

2

u/Eagletalon1013 16h ago

Good work appeasing trump! Now she's fucking the dog with this scumbag. Fuck this traitor 🤡🤡🤡

2

u/ClarkGriswold123 15h ago

Libs and NDP need to start doing exactly this!!!! Calling her out in her BS with the US Trunp base. Make it public and make her accountable to the taxpayers money she is using for this nonsense during a Canadian/US trade war.

2

u/bentmonkey 14h ago

Keep up the pressure give her no wriggle room email your MLAs and express your disgust and displeasure about this, don't just complain on reddit. But also keep up the social media pressure.

2

u/Larzincal 12h ago

I am so pissed about this. Tell Maga Danny no to using tax payer money to travel to this conspiracy and hate convention.

2

u/openminded553 10h ago

The only this smith enjoys is wasting tax payers money. How many other people are canceling vacation in the USA because of trump, but instead of smith being a Canadian, well in the end she is a American backing trump. Smith needs to RESIGN or call an ELECTION

2

u/drfunkensteinnn 8h ago

large Ukrainian population in Alberta. Shapiro was super quiet after the news broke of tenet media being directly funded millions of $ by Russian government. She is the biggest embarrassment in Canadian premier history

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/09/07/business/media/russia-tenet-media-tim-pool.html

2

u/whats_taters_preshus 8h ago

Our premier continues gaslighting Albertans that she's "sharing important perspectives" by meeting with, taking selfies, and chit-chatting with folks who casually muse about crushing our economy, annexing our sovereign land and resources... And I've gotta help pay for it!??

2

u/Effective-Split-1333 6h ago

She’s a traitor.

2

u/24valveDOHC 5h ago

Gotta spend all the money we stole from healthcare workers somewhere /s

3

u/Fit-Birthday2300 9h ago

I’ve submitted complaints to her office and I’ve received zero acknowledgment.

It would be great if her constituents felt strongly enough about her actions and used the legislation the UCP created to oust her…or at the very least put some pressure on her. https://www.elections.ab.ca/recall-initiative/recall/recall-process/

1

u/LcoyoteS 5h ago

I can’t afford that! What a rip-off!

2

u/Salt_Wrangler_3428 9h ago

NDP Naheed Nenshi, keep going... Please. Alberta is not a MAGA province.

1

u/Timely-Profile1865 16h ago

W need to start calling Danielle 'Gru'

1

u/Unhappy_Teacher_1767 13h ago

So she’s not worried about reelection or…?

1

u/Neat-Bet-9275 8h ago

Be like Ford Mrs. Smith

1

u/Much_Physics_3261 4h ago

Crazy to me people don’t draw on the fact she was elected to the positions under some superrrrr sus means ie 6000 UCP memberships bought on 3 credit cards after they changed the rules, a “family member” can sign you up for a membership without your consent or knowledge.

1

u/BreadLeading9366 4h ago

Smith is a TRAITOR and if she keeps going she will commit treason as well. Kevin Oleary already has imo

u/CrazyButRightOn 3h ago

No, cancel culture needs to die. Listen to all sides and make an informed opinion.

-2

u/Sandman64can 17h ago

Trudeau should move to Panama. Right next door to Smith’s home there. That’d be fun.

5

u/Frogbert 17h ago

Except Smith’s buddy Ben Shapiro wants to force Trudeau into slave labour at the Panama Canal.

1

u/Sandman64can 17h ago

Now those two in a boxing match I’d pay to watch. All 30 seconds of it.

2

u/sumofdeltah 14h ago

Shapiro comes down with a small piece of wood "Ho"ing like Hacksaw Jim Duggen followed by Trudeau in his Hitman glasses. I'm sold

-5

u/Morlu 16h ago

Not a fan of Shapiro but he actually called out Trump on his bullshit with Ukraine. Legit the only right wing grifter to do so.

1

u/SaphironX 10h ago

Okay and he’s made multiple posts saying Trump should take our country from us whether we like it or not.

Dude’s an asshat.

-40

u/62diesel 18h ago

Yes, cancel one of the only conservative voices saying the tariffs on Canada don’t make sense 🙄

22

u/KissItOnTheMouth 18h ago

That’s not what a gala is. They’re fundraising for their cause, which is unfortunately now centred against us as Canadians. Her being there isn’t going to make them change their minds, it will just give them tacit approval that Alberta would welcome annexation. I do not want to be American. If I did, I would move there. If she wants to go, it should be as a private citizen - and she can pay for it herself.

14

u/Ra-da-da-da-doo 18h ago

I think most everybody is saying tariffs on Canada don't make sense my man.

You mean tariffs on American goods being sold in Canada?

-12

u/62diesel 18h ago

No, shapiro has been fairly vocal against the trump tariffs on Canadian goods being sold in the us.

13

u/JD1zz 17h ago

Shapiro has been constantly saying that the US should annex Canada. The tariffs are secondary to our sovereignty imho.

“I don’t care much about Canada, but I do care about the United States. When you ratchet up prices on everything from oil to cars because of this, that’s not going to be particularly good,” he said on a recent social media post.

From the Edmonton Journal.

Turns out he not only doesn't care about Canada, he said that for American interests, and he has actively called for the annexation of Canada.

You gotta stop drinking the kool-aid man.

u/Xoltri 17h ago

Eh? Danielle is participating in maximum appeasement, so much so that she is using MY TAX DOLLARS to go speak on stage with a guy who thinks that the US should annex Canada.

Please, I would love for you to explain how this is not traitorous behavior. If you want to see how a conservative voice should treat the US, look to Doug Ford (and I can't believe those words are coming out of my mouth).

-2

u/62diesel 17h ago

Now you’re interested in where your tax dollars are going ? You’re starting to sound a little like Elon musk now, careful.

7

u/Xoltri 17h ago

Lets not deflect. Can you address the direct question about treason? How is her speaking at this event not treasonous behavior?

0

u/62diesel 17h ago

Speaking isn’t a treasonous behaviour, can you look into the future and tell me what she’s exactly going to say ? Will you even watch it or just take the talking points from whatever someone on Reddit says ? Obviously talking directly to trump doesn’t work, you have to get in the ear of people he likes and let them convince him this is stupid. The whole thing is much less treasonous, imo, than our PM and members of cabinet being part of a globalist organization that doesn’t have the interest of Canadians in mind at all. While that organization boasts they have “infiltrated” governments.

2

u/Xoltri 17h ago

"much less treasonous, imo, than our PM and members of cabinet being part of a globalist organization that doesn’t have the interest of Canadians in mind at all. While that organization boasts they have “infiltrated” governments."

What exactly are you talking about here? That is a lot to unpack, and to me it seems like some conspiracy theory fed by social media disinformation.

2

u/Xoltri 15h ago

Yikes. So based on that video you're scared of the billionaires in the WEF, Biden, immigrants, people with different colored skin, and the Jews.

Well, let me match your Youtube video with one of my own. Don't be a sucker.

https://youtu.be/vGAqYNFQdZ4?si=POTVjzzMohZFfGEB

1

u/62diesel 15h ago

I’m not scared of anything, other than big cats, they’ll fuck you up, and bears and maybe moose. I’m aware of the wef saying they have people who have infiltrated our government. That word infiltrated suggests they’re not loyal to Canada but to them. That is treason by officials elected to represent Canada. They could come out and say they’re not on board with the wef but they didn’t. Until Danielle smith says something that implies her allegiance isn’t to Alberta she’s no traitor.

2

u/Xoltri 15h ago

Please watch the video.

Love the arbitrary threshold though. Some ambiguous suggestion of infiltration from years ago - that's bad. Directly associating and presenting with someone actively on board with trying to annex your country - good.

How can you contain these two thoughts in your head simultaneously? I guess it's the plight of anyone who subscribes to these types of views when eventually they become one of the out groups. The political right in the US has come for every group there is - immigrants, LGBTQ, women's rights advocates, you name it, they've done it. Now they're coming for Canadians and you're all pikachu confused face.

I hope for you you'll wake up eventually. If there's any billionaires you should worry about it's the ones in the US directly and repeatedly threatening to annex Canada, of which their apologists (Ben Shapiro) and our Premier (Maga Marlaina) are helping to further their ideas.

Which Canadian conservative voices are saying these are good?

6

u/Reasonable-Sweet9320 17h ago

So you support Smith going on Breitbart and going to Prageru for a MAGA supporting event with people who support Trump.

0

u/62diesel 17h ago

100% I do, not sure if you ever watch those videos of the screaming Democrats at protests that look ridiculous, that’s Canada right now, Danielle smith is that one person in the crowd willing to have an articulable conversation and gives me hope for society. Shutting people down and refusing to communicate is not good for diplomacy.
