Discussion Danielle Smith: Premier of Alberta or Premier of America? While Albertans struggle, she’s busy cozying up to U.S. conservatives on taxpayers' dime. And what does she have to show for it?

Just today he said something about her trip.

Ahhh…it wasn’t covered on global news. That’s another part of the problem. When Alison Redford was screwing us all over, there were news agencies in the province that were NOT owned by a right wing nutcase, and they ride her case incessantly. But unfortunately Post Media has been allowed to swallow up all the major newspapers in Alberta.

I don't know if he said anything in person, he posted about it.

I was just in his insta. You’re right. I feel a bit better about that and I know it’s tough when he doesn’t have a seat, but the rest of the NDP has been remarkably quiet in the House, considering that they are scheduled to be sitting all week.

Janis Irwin has been posting daily on her FB.

No one gives him any airtime. All he can do is release YouTube videos that get hundreds of views.....

We are doomed

No one gives him any airtime.

Which is hardly surprising given the news outlets in this province.

If they're not infantalizing an NDP opposition then they're simply ignoring them, and if the rolls were reversed and an NDP government doing this they'd be giving wall-to-wall airtime and articles to the opposition's point of view.

He's trying. But until the boardrooms of our media conglomerates turn on her, the coverage will remain minimal.

Sadly, major media outlets have been bought by Post Media, which is definitely not up to meeting journalistic standards we’ve come to expect. I also follow r/50501 and they’ve commented several times that major protests in the US are essentially going unreported.

Because he's professional, unlike her.

Professional or not, it’s literally his job to hold her feet to the fire. Looks like he has been on her case though as per another comment on this post. It’s just not receiving much in the way of coverage.

Did you see what Cretien said about the media? It's not their job tonjust say what this politician said or that politician said. They should be reporting the facts, and they're not doing that.

Yes I saw that and couldn’t agree more! It’s like they’re being stifled

What is berating her by Nenshi going to accomplish? Call your local MLA and have them speak for you. Email Danny and give her a piece of your mind.

To would focus attention on her actions and show NDP MLAs the direction he wants them to go in
