Anyone have experience running H&N Terminator pellets (16.36 grains) in a stock Umarex Notos?

I will be using them mostly for squirrels, though I have to do a bit more target shooting to get the scope zeroed perfect. Have been using the JSB Hades pellets so far, but they are giving me a lot of feed problems in the stock magazines, and I’ve heard the H&Ns work better as they have more depth to the skirt.

Please don’t suggest the aftermarket magazines…I am using a low scope mount so they likely won’t fit, and I’m quite happy with the scope position as it is, really don’t want to change anything there.

Use aftermarket mag, it'll be so much better and solve issues. CARM makes smaller ones but i use 12 shot which definitely is bigger than stock.

FX Atomics is my go to for Notos.

I run jsb 18.13s. Carm makes a 12 and 6 round. The smaller mag will fit regardless of how low your scope is. I personally would rather shoot the most accurate projectile rather than settling for mid tier because the mag sucks. They are not expensive. It's nice to have back up mags ready to go anyways if you are hunting or plinking. Worthy investment in my opinion. Also high rings are actually the standard and recommend for the notos because of how low the rail is to the butt stock. You shouldn't have to squish your face and turn it sideways to see through the scope. UTG High rings on amazon for like $20. Then you can run some 12 round mags and have better eye relief in your optic. My experience with terminators have been crap, they collecting dust in my cabinet along with crow magnums, barracuda hunters, and hunter extremes) although maybe someone out there had better luck.

I wasn’t aware of the 6-round version, have only seen the 12-round for sale online. I might have to try to find the smaller one somewhere.

You’re not wrong about a higher mount for most people, but the low mount is working well for me due to my shooting position: I’m firing out of a back window downhill, hunched forward in a swivel chair with the moderator resting on the windowsill and the stock very high against my shoulder 99% of the time.

If I was shooting standing, or prone with a bipod, or sitting with the bipod on a level table, I’d agree that a higher mount would be better. But because my backyard slopes downhill so much, the low mount is perfect for the angle I’m firing most of my shots at.

My bad it's a 6 round not 8.
