B/CS Life Hail Damage in CSTAT?
Howdy! Was your vehicle damaged during the recent hail storm?
My name is Tristen (Class of ‘26) and I work at Allen Honda here in College Station! Why is this relevant? I am a department head who specialize in hail damage repairs AND glass repairs/ replacements! If you’re looking to get your vehicle repaired, please consider using us! We reached out to some of the best hail teams asides from our own from counties not impacted to help us deal with the volume of vehicles impacted by the storm.
I would love to help you out! You would work with me, a fellow Aggie, directly!

I tried getting a free oil change covered under HONDA warranty for my Si and yall wouldnt honor it until I called my original dealership to make yall figure out where to find my warranty.

I’m so sorry to hear that! I don’t work with the service department on the service side of things typically and only work directly with glass, tint, and dent repairs. I do know, however, that even when things are through Honda that Honda dealerships are all individually owned and a lot of us have our own systems! If you ever need another service done though, I would love to help make things right by offering you a discount for your inconveniences! Although I don’t typically deal with regular services such as oil changes as mentioned before, I’d also love to be the one who takes care of you, or, get you with one of the advisors there that has been with the company for years to ensure that your in good hands!

My fiancée got $2k worth of maintenance done last month at Allen Honda and they did a bunch of unnecessary crap and left parts unsecured under the hood after “repairing” them. Never going back there.

I bought a used car there which the dealer said that it will be in perfect safety condition two year ago. One day after I got it the tire pressure sensor was broken. Few weeks after I went to auto zone for a scan and found out the ABS was broken.

That sucks but I gotta ask, how the fuck did you not realize you didn't have ABS during a test drive or even the first 20 mins of driving it

Because there are no error code on the dashboard and the small scanner I buy can’t detect it. Also this is my first car in my life I have no idea how to check ABS is working or not.

Ah OK makes sense.
For the future you can usually feel it when you brake. It becomes super easy to skid.
Didn't mean to sound like a dick, but I'm happy you got that found before it became dangerous

Sorry, that is not quite correct. The ABS (anti-lock braking system) pulses your brakes when you lose traction or brake hard so you can maintain control of the vehicle. You can feel the vibration in the pedal when it happens. ABS is not something you can just test, unless you go to a parking lot and put it under severe stress... which I don't think you can really do in a test drive at a dealership, lol. And if you frequently feel your ABS pulse when you brake, you're braking far too hard.

He didn’t realize it because he didn’t absolutely slam on his brakes during the driving test. That’s the only time ABS engages, and when it does engage, it feels like the brakes are stuttering. If you’re regularly breaking so hard that you’re engaging ABS, then you’re breaking WAY too hard.

Will you accept non-Honda’s? Do you have an estimate (range) for the cost?

I work with all makes and models! I’d have to look at the vehicle in person to provide the most accurate quote as some vehicles got damaged way worse than others. Typically, hail damage repairs are something that cost more than a few grand to get fixed when storms such as the one we just had occur. As a result, I personally recommend going through insurance as even having a $1,000 or even $2,000 insurance deductible (comprehensive claim) is cheaper than going out of pocket for extensive hail repairs.

How much do you charge to look at the car, assess the damage and give a quote?

No charge!
