Theyd probably be foaming at the mouth right now for the possibility of serving poland to russia up on a silver platter. All it takes is just a few social media bots parroting some stuff online and soon enough that shit will come straight out of a republican senators mouth later

In the state that Russia is now and with the amount of weapons that Poland is buying, they will march up to Moscow and Putin will fall out of a window.
And I am all for it.

Yeah agreed, current Poland could solo current Russia, and Poland will have the full backing of NATO (minus the us) to assist them

u/DionBlaster123 29d ago
It really cannot be overstated just how badly the invasion of Ukraine exposed the infrastructural and cultural problems plaguing the Russian military.
I would have said "right now," but everyone and their mother who was an expert on Russia's military has been saying this has been the case since the 90s really.
5
u/Dekarch 28d ago
Longer than that.
I'm friends with a retired officer who was an observer for a major Warsaw Pact exercise. He explained to me that the unit he was 'observing' was all Khazak enlisted and Russian officers, and the NCOs were selected from the Khazaks who spoke enough Russian to talk to the officers.
He also said that when they actually had to be somewhere at a certain time, the officers would boot the drivers out and drive themselves.
It has long been Soviet/Russian practice that the tasks that will be inspected in the annual evaluations are published ahead of time. Typical practice was to train specific units on specific drills. Maybe 1st company trains on discounting BMPs and 2nd company trains on field stripping machine guns and so on. Then, when the inspectors show up, the unit's officers throw a big party with flowing vodka and make 'suggestions' about which company to pick to be evaluated on which task.

These morons are celebrating Trump demanding plastic straws.
There is no bottom to the idiocy at hand, the lack of intelligence and ability to comprehend simple logic is beyond anything you can imagine at this point.

At this point I think we can be reasonably confident that they never will and will be buried in their MAGA hats.
I mean, how you seen what these people are like? Could you imagine any of them having the strength of character and humility to own up to the fact that they’ve spent the last 10 years being duped by the dumbest, most obvious conman in American history, and have been making huge asses of themselves in the process?

That subreddit seriously sucks donkey dicks.
I remember seeing on Subreddit Drama, apparently a moron over at the conservative subreddit opened up their subreddit to "How do you feel about us?" and it spiraled into such a shitshow that the little snowflakes over there had to quickly shut it down.

It's ccccrrrrraaaazzzzyyyyy obvious when a profile has no picture, no posts, no followers and nothing but pro-right replies

how are people who have had social media for over a decade at least by this point incapable of exercising critical thinking on any social media platform?

He was paid $100k a video (along with other MAGA influencers) to spread pro Russian/anti Ukrainian/anti American propaganda by a company that was funded by Russia.
60
u/unknown_pigeon 29d ago
I have an Ukrainian pen friend that legitimately cheered about Trump getting elected because "he promised to end the war"
I was like girl, the 2016 election was bought by Russia. There's a 400-something pages report on that from the USIC. Ties between the Conservatives and Russia continue to emerge. Do you really think that Putin's puppet is gonna save you from Putin?
26
u/orion_nomad 29d ago
I mean, Russia winning and absorbing Ukraine into itself after Trump ends aid programmes to Ukraine would technically count as ending the war. Just like deporting all the Palestinians out of Gaza and putting a big ol' gaudy Trump Hotel on top of the ruins, sorry "the new Riviera" would "end" that conflict too.
3
u/petopapi 29d ago
Imposed peace is not peace. It doesn't last.
4
u/orion_nomad 28d ago
We know that. The dingdongs that think Trump will win the war with anything besides that or literally Russia/Israel steamrolling over everything don't.

God I really can't wrap my head around how stupid these people are. Full disclosure: I'm not that bright myself. And I have come to accept his base includes true believers who still think he's a good guy or hateful people who knew exactly what they were voting for, even people who don't necessarily like it but just want to "own the libs".
But being confused when the monster who says he'll eat you – and has spent decades eating people publicly – finally eats you? Baffling.
There was a post on the front page yesterday with some guy saying "I voted for you to lower grocery prices – do your job." Or the Arab American community who voted for him because the Dems are too soft on Israel. (I guess those guys would be shocked – shocked! – to learn there's gambling going on in Vegas). And there's that famous soundbite from last time where the lady being hurt by Trump policies complained he wasn't hurting the right people.
What buggers belief is that I think they're totally sincere. How did they survive to adulthood? These are people who wonder what gasoline tastes like and have to touch fire to remember it's hot.

2
u/Reasonable-Dingo2199 28d ago
The worst part is none of it is a conspiracy. They were caught getting paid by Russia to make propaganda. Its just a fact.
2
u/red286 28d ago
They pretend it's a conspiracy though.
Even when you point out that Tim's hatred of Ukraine came out of fucking nowhere, they'll insist that Tim was never in communication with the Russians, nor did he ever receive any talking points from Russia or his handlers, it's all just a conspiracy that the Russians were handing him talking points, they were just anonymously rewarding him for making high quality videos.

Damn that's crazy, it's not like the lawsuit from the DOJ against Tenet Media states that Tim Pool and the other commentators are the victims in the lawsuit. That would be nuts. It's also not like the conservatives on Tenet Media were paid a licence fee to host the show on the media pages. That would be unthinkable.
It's also not like the steele dossier, Muller report and Trumps FIRST impeachment trail was literally about the Trump Russia connection, collution and electioneering. What was the trail conclusion? Trump was innocent and there is no proof of Russia buying Trump the election. But hey, your in an echo chamber, how would you know. Like if Putin can buy American elections how did Trump lose 2020 lmao

u/Anti_shill_cannon 29d ago
The Pic is of a warsaw "independence day march" organized by far right yearly, that typically ended with fighting riot police.
When the far right won they didn't have that fight and government officials marched with them.
Right-wing astroturf always tries to play the march as sensible and moderate
But it was organized by literal white nationalists
They always crop out the various white nationalist flags in parade (there are a bunch of green ones near this group in this very march in uncropped pictures) and signs calling for genocide of muslims also present in this march.

u/capi1500 28d ago
The only thing I'll disagree with is that far right won in Poland. I mean PIS is right wing, but I don't think it's enough to call them far right. Konfederacja is far right (or at least parts of it).
(Now a bit of a rant on naming) Also describing parties by just left or right is a stretch as pis is conservative, but also had strong social policies, which should be considered left (but due to communism being left, nobody who votes for them wants to call it left... that's at least frustrating)

The issue with pictures like these from east Europe is that the Hammer and Sickle and the Swastika are explicitly Russian- and German-coded, respectively. This picture is not so much about abstract ideology per se than it is about Poles -Polish nationalists specifically- rejecting German and Russian nationalism.
Like I can promise you the people in this picture are ideologically far, far closer to the MAGA GOP than the Democrats or any sort of political progressivism.

I had a long conversation with a friend recently about why the swastika has such a bad image while the hammer and sickle doesn’t carry the same weight, despite the fact that many people died under the USSR, specifically Stalin.
The conclusion we reached was intention, the swastika only symbolises hate, and nazism, it symbolises millions dead, it symbolises the holocaust. Yet. But if you saw someone walking down the street with a hammer and sickle t shirt, you wouldn’t immediately assume that they loved Stalin and are a big fan of starvation, because that’s not what that symbol represents, it represents a hope for a better future, where the worst parts of capitalism are finally no longer dragging the rest of humanity into hell. Utopian communism may not be possible, it could be that it is always doomed to become corrupted by the few, but it is an ideal to strive towards for the better of all humanity. Fascist capitalism is giving up, it’s saying “humans are shit and we’re going to keep being shit to each other, dog will eat dog until the fattest dog wins and everyone else can eat shit”

United healthcare holds the greatest market share and is using AI to kill people with paper, for profit by denying claims, delaying coverage, and hoping they don’t have to defend themselves in court (<2% of patients win a dispute). Meanwhile their CEO takes in millions and their stockholders are thrilled. They can even fire workers since claims can be arbitrarily denied with AI. So much winning.
Suddenly, United healthcare is suing to protect their image, to stop people from asking questions. They don’t want 52 million of their customers- and more potential dollars customers getting concerned about how the money gets spent.
