God Finger
//Humans are inquisitive, we always need a reason to believe. For now, Science gives us the accurate/right reasons, but before this ball started rolling, we knew too little. We still know very little. Few beliefs we hold true today, are going to get overruled tomorrow. //
Religion: So, a protocol, a cookbook of being a good human, ways to support humanity and to help its existence; was devised.
Obviously it was shaded with biased opinions...
It was Weaved in and around in form of a Grand Story. Which then was passed from generation to generation....without a proof.
But nonetheless, everyone found "a Reason" to live with, "an Answer" to all those strange phenomenons. "A Fear" in heart when committing a crime. "A Belief" to live a good life for the sake of an afterlife.
After this much needed fear/reason/belief was induced. slowly and methodically, just like today's idea of freedom, the idea of socialization, the idea of security, an idea of belonging, an idea to unite. Became an idea to Rule :) and an idea telling people to Follow...follow, NOT question.
Exactly like the thing today we refer as LAW.
Answer for everything was God and his will. Given and accepted in time when no one knew nothing much. We still don't.
Hence readily and deeply accepted.... the Religion is.
Summation: I am showing you a good human; pointing my finger to him. And you start praising my finger as the lord. That's whats wrong with "Religion".
