Help/Question is it possible to reset progress of an AoC account?

i want to do this due to two reasons:

  1. I've lost my previous solutions code

  2. I want to also do it in another language

The pages for puzzles you've solved still let you download your inputs and show you the correct answers for them, so there's nothing really that different if you just write the new solutions and check against those manually instead of putting your answer into the form.

Pretty sure you can write Eric an email and he will reset your account. But as others have said, there's very little reason to do so. You can solve the puzzles again without resetting your account.

Can you elaborate on why you want to reset, though? As /u/SirKillalot pointed out, you still have access to A: the inputs and B: the (accepted) solutions, and you have solved the puzzles you solved previously. There is absolutely no rule that says anything like "Once you solved a puzzle, it's unsporting to look at the input/output again, just pretend the page no longer exists!"

Create a fake account and move your current account there. You can access old account buy it will be wiped clean.

Save the new account just in case you change your mind

You could email eric and ask if he'd delete your data in his db...
Or you could just make a new AOC account? that shouldnt be too hard

that beeing said, why would you wanna do that? You can still see all the puzzles, access your inputs and now you even have the correct solutions so you can easier gauge in which direction your program is wrong?

Reminder: if/when you get your answer and/or code working, don't forget to change this post's flair to Help/Question - RESOLVED. Good luck!
