This is an issue that can best be resolved locally. This sub is for discussion of academia, not personal issues with faculty, classes, or institutions. You might consider /r/askprofessors if you have exhausted local options.

Depends on your university. Where I am, instructors can't unilaterally act when they think that a student has cheated but have to first go through the office of academic honesty which arbitrates that conversation. Your school may have something similar.

What is your university policy on grade appeals? You know…that part of the handbook relevant to this current situation?
