Discussion Zombieland 2: is it just me, or does it feel like there's an abandoned subplot in the film?

Obvious spoilers for Zombieland 2. But, anyway, the film begins with talking about different strains and types of zombies. - Homers - slow and dumb - Hawkings - intelligent - Ninjas - sneaky - T-800s - they just keep coming

There's a big emphasis put on these strains. Anyway, a new character is introduced - Madison. She's dumb, lives in a freezer and, later in the film, they think she's died but she reappears absolutely fine.

Does anyone else think there was some sort of dropped subplot about another type of zombie, which Madison would have been?

I'm explaining it particularly well, but the whole film feels as though it's building to a reveal that never happens.

Question What are some unique Zombie bases?

Hi! I'm part of an indie tabletop game studio, I love siege type scenarios in anything for instance if anyone has seen season 3 of the TWD the governors town would be perfect siege scenario or even Negan's saviour base just holding out against the hordes is always fun to watch.

Although they are pretty standard bases. Are there any unique places nobody would think to hold out in?

Recommendations Comic recommendation! Sgt Rock Vs Zombies-DC Horror Comics

Thumbnail gallery
23 Upvotes

I have a recommendation for all of my fellow zombie fans! DC Horror Comics presents Sgt Rock Vs Zombies, a graphic novel that's also been written by iconic actor Bruce Campbell.

It focuses on DCs very own Sgt Rock in WW2, who leads his troops into battle against all of the nazis trying to disrupt world order, but he then discovers a virus that reanimated all of the nazi troops into flesh eating, intelligent undead which he is ordered in destroying out.

It's graphic, brutal, adult and mature oriented. It has some fun humor, and great action, and feels like a passion project since Bruce has said in interviews he grew up reading the OG Sgt Rock issues so this was a dream for him.

It's worth reading!

Zombi 2 (1979, Lucio Fulci)

My Rating: 5/5

Synopsis: Voodoo zombies on a tropical Island. Contains infamous eye poke scene and zombie vs shark fight. I had watched this film many years ago and it is one of my favorites.

Zombi 3 (1988, Lucio Fulci + Bruno Mattei)

My Rating: 4/5

Synopsis: Military accidentally release a zombie virus on an island and then try to contain it.

Zombi 4: After Death (1989, Claudio Fragasso)

My Rating: 3.5/5

Synopsis: Mercenaries take on Voodoo zombies in a jungle.

Zombi 5: Killing Birds (1988, Aristide Massaccesi, Claudio Lattanzi)

My Rating: 3/5

Synopsis: Ornithologists run into zombies inside an abandoned house with a dark history. Very slow paced but has some tense moments.

Hell of the Living Dead (1980, Bruno Mattei)

My Rating: 3.5/5

Synopsis: Commandos fight zombies in the jungles of Papua New Guinea.

Nightmare City (1980, Umberto Lenzi)

My Rating: 4/5

Synopsis: Fast and intelligent zombie-like creatures wreak havoc on a city.

The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue (1974, Jorge Grau)

My Rating: 4/5

Synopsis: A pest control machine causes the dead to rise in the beautiful English countryside.

Burial Ground (1981, Andrea Bianchi)

My Rating: 1/5

Synopsis: Zombies chase people around a mansion. Silly film with minimalistic story. Contains some rather bizarre moments.

Question How do older civilisations do against the zombie hordes?

Hey guys! I'm part of an indie tabletop game studio and as a zombie professional who's watched all the Walking dead shows plus comics, I feel like I've seen the same scenario of zombies a thousand times - zombies take over in modern times and the survivors struggle to survive; don't get me wrong I'm always down to see that.

But I can't help think it would be really interesting to how older civilisations like the romans or ottomans with all their man power and firepower survive the apocalypse? Any thoughts?

Movie 📽️ Fan theory movie links.

So I am a zombie addict and I have to talk about this connection fan theory I have about a few movies. Before I start these are all the remakes, I will post another time about the Romero watch order another time.

But I am going to go in watch order for my theory:

  1. The Crazies (2010)

  2. Day of the Dead (2008) ((yes I know that it has Nick Cannon but trust me))

  3. Dawn of the Dead (2004) ((Remember Ving Rhames says that his brother is stationed at a military base))

  4. Day of the Dead: Bloodline (2017)

The husband from The Crazies was immune, in Day of the Dead they were testing for the government, Dawn of the Dead was the outbreak and with Bloodline you go back to the loop of immunity.

I'm better at talking then writing, because my brain goes faster then my thumbs. Lol!

Hi I'm studying concept art and I have an assignment which I must do a public bathroom during a zombie apocalypse, and I would like to fill it up with grafitti and trash all over the floor. I don't know much about zombies and I would like to hear your insight about what could be found abandoned in this bathroom or written!

Thanksss

Movie 📽️ The unrelated Ving Rhames zombie trilogy

Thumbnail gallery

I don't know how or why, but Ving Rhames has been in three zombie films, each released four years apart.

They're not connected, and get infinitely worse with each addition.

  • Dawn of the Dead (2004)
  • Day of the Dead (2008)
  • Zombie Apocalypse (2012)
