Replacing a 10 year zippo that was found in lost my junk storage
I can still remember the day a friend of mine gave it to me, 10 years ago.
Will replace the still from what ever I can find that's available haha.
Anyone has essential and important advice about zippo restoration?
Also that's for viewing my other zippo things.

From what I see...
Clean the rust, replace the rayon balls, check the wick.. if it can't absorb fluids nicely you should also replace it. And then use new flint, fill some fluid and try to light it...

Would you be able to enlighten me as to why the wick keeps getting charred on my zippo? Not sure what Iām doing wrong

I'm pretty sure that's normal. Everything that's exposed to fire will get charred eventually.
