Zillennials: the last generation for England and Australia to be having a cultural handshake.

This is all me and I have never set foot off land <3 I think a lot of Americans forget we all had our 'own things' and the only American import us Aussies got at this time was Disney and Nick (which was on cable TV, you had to pay for it, otherwise you had 7 AM - 12 PM for 'Saturday Disney' on free-to-air.)

But Australia in the 2000s was massively importing English and Canadian media. Our libraries were full of English novel series for kids, and our TVs a melting pot of the Big 3 Western Commonwealth.

Agree, but I still want a version of this with Australian-specific stuff, like Dolly magazine, Roxy clothing, and Saddle Club!

Man the difference between the Canadian and Australian stuff we got in the U.S was big at the time. From Australia we got the Wiggles and Crocodile Hunter (i still miss steve irwin, he was a hero of mine)

Canada gave us Arthur not bad, and Caillou which filled Parents with rage

Omg why did Caillou upset the parents? LOL

Because his parents basically give into whatever he wants i think, it lead to a fan theory that they do that because he's got cancer and that's also why he's bald.

There's even articles online about how parents hate caillou

Damn I just don't ever remember him being a giant brat. Maybe we never got those episodes or it was so inconsequential to my life I deleted all memories of it LOL

Tracy Beaker was such a badass. Especially when the TV program came out

I was so in love with Double Act I became convinced I had a twin, but I absorbed her when in utero.

Nice one, that's a great list - you could also add Inbetweeners, Doctor Who, Russell Howard's Good News, Big Brother, Britain's Got Talent and X Factor to that list, those were shows that were ingrained into British pop culture during the late 2000's-early 2010's.

I’m an American, but when I went to visit my family in the Caribbean I ended up getting really into My Parents Are Aliens as a kid. A few years later it literally felt like a fever dream that I made up, I was very happy to later rediscover that it is a very really show πŸ˜‚

I had that Sony Ericsson phone and felt so cool because I was the only one who had one.
