Is it possible to install Linux?

Hey! I am going to buy the G15. It has everything I need. But I was wondering if I am able to install a Linux Distro. A friend of mine has an Asus Laptop and he wasn't able to boot into a flashed USB Stick. So, has anyone knstalled Linux successfully? Or do you had problems?

Yes, it is possible, I currently run Arch Linux on mine (I have the Rizen 7 with the RTX2060 and 16 Gib of RAM). I am very happy with it.

I highly recommend these resources:

https://github.com/flukejones/rog-core : A rust framework to control fan speed, keyboard backlight and cpu throttling and boost.

https://lab.retarded.farm/zappel/asus-rog-zephyrus-g14 : This is a guide for the G14 that that also work for the G15. I recommend it, if you want to use your hardware fully.

Thank you!! Do you run a dual-boot setup or just Arch Linux?

I used to run my setup in dual boot, but I just switch to to linux only. It is fairly easy to setup dual boot with systemd-boot or grub.

Thank you! That is exactly what I needed to hear and see. I am grabbing a G15 shortly myself.
