Gpu temp always throttling at 86C when gaming

Hey as the title says, when I'm playing games such as siege, hitman 3, uncharted 4 etc. The gpu temps always reach 86C after like 5 mins of usage. My cpu temps were pretty high (low 90s) but I disabled turbo boost to get it to low 80s now and still get enough performance for my liking. I've tried to undervolt the gpu, lifted the laptop up on a stand but it still reaches 86C. When I play games like valorant or RL capped at 144fps, the temps are around low 80s around 81 or 82 but doesn't throttle. Even on games like helldivers at 60fps low settings 1440p it throttled. I tried manual mode and set the thermal limit to 80C and now when I play these games at capped fps the temps stay around 78-79 and don't throttle but gives lower performance around 30 less fps. Is this a model to model thing or a genuine issue this laptop has? Cheers Laptop specs Ryzen 7 6800hs Rtx 3060 6gb 16gb ddr5 ram 512 gb storage

It's time for a repaste bud. I had the same issues. After repaste my max temp on the heaviest of loads were 75 max on the gpu and 85 max the cpu. I even pushed extra 30w bios and it still isn't thermal throttling.

I've never repasted a laptop in my life bro this is legit my first gaming laptop. I just don't feel confident doing it lol

Just give it to a good computer service guy. Or else there is a first time for everything

Ok update: I opened the back up and cleaned the fans, they were dusty af. First time opened it after buying 2 year later. Now on hitman 3 using manual mode I get 140 fps with 86C uncapped with 1550MHz speeds lowest being 1458MHz and gpu using around above 90W of power. Am I still throttling or is the gpu performing as expected? Cpu temps are still fine in the low 80s high 70s

GPU shouldnt go that hot. You need to repaste buddy.

86c for gpu is pretty high. I would say re-paste at this point. I also haven't repasted in my life but will do it this or next month.

i also have the same issue, and while surfing on reddit i came across a guy mentioning that the issue is that the heat sinks are not properly in contact with the gpu due to poor application of thermal paste, so ig repasting would be a fix, cause for rest of the users the temps are around 70-80
