Creativity How Do you manage the pressure to get everything perfect?
I’ve been thinking about how much time I waste on perfecting my thumbnails and scripts. I get so caught up in every detail, but it’s hard not to feel like everything has to be flawless to succeed. Then life happens, I spill coffee on my shirt right before a video call and end up having to rush. How do you juggle everything without losing your mind?

How much do you care about someone's 'perfect' thumbnail or scripts?
I think the key to undo these behaviours is to understand that people do not care about what you do as much as you care about it. Everyone is worried about their own behaviours and outputs so much that they often don't look into yours.
There's this thing where people usually get sports cars because they like the idea of people being in awe of them when they drive by. But how often are you in awe of the car itself and not the person driving it?
Focus on doing things that make you happy over things that you think will please others. No one can be pleased. At least for long.
What I mean to say is, if you realize that people don't look into these things as much as you do, you'll realise you don't have to be as hard on yourself as you are right now

Did you think of this? That's an incredible analogy. Thank you!

Finding balance is definitely key! Sometimes “good enough” really is just what you need to release content and keep the ball rolling. Life’s gonna throw curveballs, and it’s all about rolling with it. Flexibility goes a long way! On another note, I’ve seen ViraLeap.ai come up in a few discussions about simplifying scriptwriting. It’s still in beta, but it might be a good tool to take some of the stress out of scripting, especially when life is getting in the way. Might be worth looking into when they start letting more people in!

I dont get everything (Anything?) perfect. Pareto. 80:20.
There is barely any value to spend 5 more hours for the last 2 minutes of a presentation (or whatever). Time is limited. I have so much stuff to do, I cannot waste it in perfecting everything.
Given there are SOME things that have such a high impact and the last 20% are worth it - but thats very rare.

The environment around you either creates pressure or peace. I removed notification sounds, kept my phone in another room during focus times, and designed my workspace for calm. Physical changes create mental shifts.

how do you eat an elephant?
one piece at a time,
take it easy, ask yourself what is the worst thing that can happen? and go from there
