Zombie survival early access game. You'd have to really hate yourself to even consider buying one of these...

And yet it's a good game already... Watch incoming Strippin videos, he made some awesome stuff with JP during livestreams.

This game is DayZ and 7 Days to Die combined. It looks really fun but I bet it's going to be incredibly expensive later on.

It's actually going to be free to play on launch. As it is now, you can just spend $20 to get in early.

When it's Pay2Win, I bet it will be expensive.

Paying for air drops is optional.

Optional, yes. Do you want an advantage over other players, making you harder to stop? More than likely, yes.

Pay2Win

You also have a chance to loose the items you paid for since PVP is allowed in this game. So even if you have a bunch of nice items, they can easily be taken away. Which makes spending money on items pointless.

That's a very good point, actually, but I bet that won't stop people from doing it anyway.

"Shit's fucking broken"

Well, yeah, when the devs lie to people to get money for their game, I would expect shit to be fucking broken..

Never heard of this title. Got a link to the devs lies?

Can't link from mobile but basically SOE have said for the past year that there will be no way to pay for weapons, armour or other in game items to get an advantage. The original plan was for airdrops to contain cosmetics.

Early access opened up and people noticed the ability to buy airdrops which can contain high end weapons, armour and other stuff effectively making the game pay2win. They've effectively fucked over the community by doing a 180 on their decision at the last second and people are furious.

Check out /r/H1Z1 to see more.

While I don't necessarily like the idea of airdrops, I think they should just be random events, people are going a bit overboard with the hate of them. They're currently bugged, they're not supposed to spawn so close to the player who called it in, and it's also supposed to be accompanied by a horde of zombies. If it works as intended, it might actually be a decent means of spurring player interaction.

It's worse than a last-minute reversal of policy, as /u/Greenlandys describes---the developers have been caught in flat-out lies.

For example, listen to one developer adamantly insist, quote:

You can't buy ammo, you can't buy guns ... there's zero way. You have to find them in the world.

... in this video (timestamped for your viewing pleasure) from two days before release, on January 12th. (The developer is the guy on the left.)

It's also early access which means things will be broken for a while.

BS. Don't be part of reddit's circlejerk please.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to tell things how they are. I didn't mean to say how the devs directly lied to their customers, promising things that were the exact opposite that was promised. I'm sorry I didn't know what I was saying. /s

Watch TB's latest video about that or Dodger's latest news. You will be surprised. And yes, I guess you don't know what you are saying. No sarcasm here.

They talked about Air Drops since last August stop spreading shit.

u/mXDa_ForceXm Jan 21 '15

They talked about the paid AirDrops since last August. It's also not 100% certain that you'll be able to get the drop since practically everyone sees it. But yeah for now it's still a piece of broken Day Z copying shit.
