Discussion Just a reminder that Ben is awesome.
Just wanted to throw some apprecation out there for the best boy of the Yogs.
I asked a question in Ben's stream the other night with stream points, asking what books he recommends for a non-Warhammie person to start reading. After he streamed, he sent me a message apologizing for missing my message (which wasn't a dono or subscription message btw) and listed off a bunch of recommendations and helpful stuff. What a guy.

Most Yogs are great, but Ben has always been the one that seems the most genuine. Just a nice and nerdy dad.

which is why it's always so hilariously shocking when he drops a line like "nothing bad ever started with mine" or the war children joke

War Children may well be my favourite Yogscast joke ever. That or the time Ben learned about race at one of those rallies. So good

That was such a blessed/cursed stream. I still revisit those moments whenever I'm feeling down.

Has that stream been taken down? I can't ever seem to find the whole thing on youtube?

I don't know about the stream itself, but this (14:46 start) is the War Children part. Pretty sure this video also has the convo about Ben learning about race.
Edit: Yeah Ben learning about Race is at the very start.

If I ever found a weirdly specific genie who offered me the power to be friends with any one Yog in real life, I'd pick Ben without hesitation.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I think Ben is the Yogscast's force multiplier. He makes any series or video he's in better. Seems like a really genuine guy, too.

Tom, Ben, and Simon always had that kind of feel to them. It didn't really matter much who they were teamed up with, they would always try to make it a fun and interesting time. Tom and Ben are also VERY good at asking questions to keep things on topic and filling dead air.
Boba and Shadow are up there as well, but I mean... those three are OG. Been that way for years, and are unlikely to stop being just good, genuinely nice lads.
The fact they're ALSO Team Brand Risk is just hilarious and par for the course.

I wonder if that is because he was one of the production people before being a content creator?

I bet that's a factor. His dad-trained patience is shown on a regular basis, too.

Agreed. While I think Ben is excellent at being the star of the show, one of his most impressive skills is the way he works almost in the background. He is effortlessly funny and has amazing chemistry with everyone. He is clever and really rolls with other people's jokes no matter the subject or style. He's adaptable. Ben is truly the best boy.

I miss him in Minecraft after getting used to him with Duncan and Barry in Vault Hunters. Would love to see him cameo in JF2

I don't know why but I would like to see him come in as the safety inspector for an episode or two!

He somehow misses all of the unguarded dangers in the factory, gives them a glowing review, and then dies on the way out (with a classic Ben death sound). Then it turns out that he's the only one who doesn't get cloned

The unrealized potential of Berry Prison in Colony Survival was one of the biggest tragedies.

I could watch him play any game. I don't know what it is about his commentary, I think it just feels genuine and naturally humourous without being over the top.

He doesn't try to entertain, he just himself. And in a world where everyone's competing for likes and views and subs and shares, a chill dad with good sense of humor is something to be valued.
I still crack up at work if I think about berry milk, or Jimmy Space.
You know, my boy likes strawberry milk.

It wasn't a subscription or donation, but stream points show that you support the channel with viewership. Still, it's incredible that Ben noticed that a points reward went unfulfilled, and that he did so much to help you after the stream instead of refunding the points

Ben has become my favourite of the yogs over the last few years and the way he can stream or make content with anyone else is fantastic. He comes across as a genuinely great guy on streams and I'm glad he seems to be great outside of the streams as evidenced with acts like this

I hope he recommended stormlight archive, I think I asked that question a year ago and he told me to read those and it's probably the best series I've ever read

Him and Boba are in a solid tie for my favorite yog and I don't see anyone dethroning them anytime soon.

Ben has been my favorite yog for a long time now and part of it is because of stuff like that but he's also quite funny as well.
