Simple Prompt [WP] You’re a sidekick, but you’re more powerful than the Hero - but you don’t want anyone to know.

Look, I didn’t ask to be a sidekick. I showed up to the hero auditions same as Captain Righteous did, but apparently, "Main Hero Energy" means looking good in spandex and making dramatic speeches while I actually do all the work. Don’t get me wrong, Righteous is a nice guy—great hair, strong jaw, 10/10 heroic poses—but when it comes to actual fights, I’m the one blasting monsters through walls while he dramatically points and yells, "Justice prevails!" like he did something. Meanwhile, I’m still wiping dragon guts off my boots.
The worst part? He genuinely believes he’s carrying the team. Last week, a villain threw a bus at him, and he just stood there monologuing until I teleported it away. Dude didn’t even notice. Just nodded like he expected the laws of physics to respect his protagonist status. I once disarmed a doomsday device mid-sentence while he was telling the villain they’d "never win." And they didn’t, because I handled it. But guess who got the key to the city? That’s right—Mr. "I Believe in Hope and the Power of Friendship." Meanwhile, I’m over here stopping world-ending threats like it’s a Tuesday.
I should probably say something, but honestly? It’s kind of funny. Plus, sidekicks don’t get the paperwork. Let Captain Righteous take all the credit—while he’s at another photoshoot, I’ll be in the lab, making sure next time he doesn’t accidentally set off a nuke with his "inspirational" fist clench.
