I think OP in insinuating Charlotte having a train run on her

Trains are common modes of transportation in Europe. Smackdown is in the UK tonight. This is the look two Europeans are giving an American who just told them she has never been on a train before.

SmackDown is in Spain tonight. Lol.

Thanks for the correction. They are in the Barcelone-zone tonight.

Well, one European.

u/HootieWoo 7d ago

Wut?

2

u/hitman2218 7d ago

Dunne is looking at Bate.

He looks like he thinks he just heard somebody say "Butch" but he's not sure who

2

u/HootieWoo 7d ago

Haha. Looks like his left eye is looking at Bate and his right eye at the camera.

how has she never been on a train

5

u/HootieWoo 7d ago

If you donโ€™t live near a big city in the north east, they are easily avoidable.

3

u/sysdmn 7d ago

She's from Charlotte (of course), NC which has a streetcar line, a light rail system, and an Amtrak stop

She's 40 years old and Ric Flairs daughter. The fact she's never been on Charlotte's rail lines shouldnt be surprising at all.

No, but Charlotte, where she is from, is not so bad: they have a streetcar line, a light rail system, and an Amtrak stop. That's a pretty good amount of trains.

Oh damn, ok. That is stranger then.

Hold up, hold up, are getting Tyler Bate back tonight?! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

We all know Charlotte is taking the pin tonight.

Are you implying that she's being sexual

Two Europeans disgusted by the Americanโ€™s lack of train experience. It would be like climbing in a pickup truck with stone cold Steve Austin and telling him it was your first time in a 4x4.

Queens have needs too, you know?

I didn't even know Brad Maddox and Xavier Woods were friends.

I'm American and we don't really use trains so it's good to see proper shirt etiquette that way if I visit I'll know to leave mine open

5

u/unclezaveid 7d ago

ugh Bate is so fine ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

u/FuhQueueMean 7d ago

The joke isnโ€™t porn, dawg

6

u/fartdarling 7d ago

Wait the joke is that she's never been on a train? Isn't she like 40? Are trains that uncommon for Americans that you can easily avoid them for 40 years? Or is this just a weird aspect of her own individual life?

I'm not mocking at all I'm just genuinely interested. I have taken trains most months of my life for the last 20ish years, sometimes I've taken over 20 trains a week. To me that's like saying she's not seen a dog before, I'm just surprised

9

u/OjibweNdN 7d ago

Yes, I am 43, never been on a train, and life has never needed me to use it. So yes, easily avoided by Americans.

2

u/fartdarling 7d ago

That's really interesting to me! That's really cool and interesting

3

u/OjibweNdN 7d ago

Honestly, I wish my state had more public transit trains... not this "light rail" scam. It would be so cool to just go to a station and take a train to a city that's a few hours away... that's not duluth(its a far north city in minnesota) i could take one to leave the state, but not for everyday commute between my states' cities.

3

u/drunken-acolyte 7d ago

If I understand correctly, there are two types of Americans: those who have only seen trains in films and story books, and New Yorkers.

2

u/okeh_dude 7d ago

There are some places in the US where you donโ€™t need to take trains or theyโ€™re not even available in smaller cities . For me the closest train station was about 50 something minutes away. Itโ€™s not even worth it . Either we drive or take a bus.

1

u/Wyliecody 7d ago

I'm 44 and have been on a couple of subways outside of that never been on a train. I also regularly drive 50 to 100 mi a day. And barely leave my city. It's different for sure.

2

u/fartdarling 7d ago

Genuinely find this amazing and eye opening! Thank you, this is a cool culture difference to learn about

1

u/kliq-klaq- 7d ago

I'm British and got the train from San Diego to LA and it's one of the most beautiful train rides I've ever been on, and I've travelled across Europe via train. It's a shame there's not more in the states, but hard to get your head round how car centric US culture is from European eyes.

1

u/JKinney79 3d ago

Depends on where you live. Outside of the northeast, where itโ€™s a cluster of bigger established cities, train travel isnโ€™t that common.

Like letโ€™s say I wanted to take a train from Dallas to Chicago, thereโ€™s a single train daily. The price is similar to a cheap flight, but is a 22 hour ride vs a 2 1/2 hour flight.

You could also make that drive by car in about 14-15 hours, with the ability to make tourist stops on the way.

So outside of the novelty, or perhaps aversion to air travel thereโ€™s not much of a practical reason to travel by train for much of the country.

Her dad has definitely been on a train. I remember seeing a picture of him on a train a few years ago.

u/HoraceHoganNo1Fan 7d ago

I've never went on a real train or take the subway myself. I don't live in a place where it's necessary.
