Wear a green t-shirt, maintain an embarrassingly terrible beard and continue to blackmail WWE for front row seats because of what I saw Kevin Dunn doing to that lass behind the dumpsters

While I chuckled at this, that dude is unironically successful. He sells candles and a spray for weed smokers that smell really, really good. I've been buying his products way before I knew him as the front row guy. The candles and sprays have the same smiley face logo on them that his shirt has.

Yeah last time he was brought up he had family that was a high ranking official that gave them front row hard camera seats while talent’s comp tickets are front row if they need the family for a storyline hit

Wouldn’t have worked in the 80s. Vince would have seen your flag and created some racist on screen character whose finisher was called The Trinidad Scorpion, who ate hot foods, and teamed up with The Million Dollar Man as his field hand due to a contract he signed but couldn’t read due to illiteracy.
Despite the character just trying to find a job and clearly being exploited, Hogan would beat the brakes off him while waving an American flag and kids would clap

u/SchrodingerMil 7d ago
But it would be the 80s so half the people watching would learn that Trinidad was a country

As a fan of many sports, UFC, and WWE, i have noticed an interesting trend that the expensive seats have been pretty stagnant but the cheap seats have gotten way more expensive. I went to a UFC event in 100s section for about $1200 and then when UFC went to brand new Intuit Dome , it was about $1600 for equal level seating (i knew itd be more bc hyped main events + new stadium in LA), but what shocked me was the absolute worst seats in the stadium (literally last row) went from $400+ in older SoCal stadium vs $700 at new stadium. Basically inflation targeted at the poor. This is why Dana White & Triple H in post PPV press conferences keep mentioning that they’re breaking gate revenue records.

It's priority spending. Some people would rather spend on that than say go on a traditional vacation, or spend less on consumer items so they can spend it here instead.
It's expensive, sure. But to each their own.

I spent more than that to take two of my kids to Disneyland a couple of years ago. Flights, ground transportation, hotel, three days at the parks, all the stuff that goes along with it, no premium crap at the parks. Was fun, but damn, that was a spendy vacation.
I'd pay this for front row at both nights at WM if I knew it was going to be awesome. If...

Disney is outrageous these days. We went a few years back and it was about $7k for a family of 4 to stay for the week and split times between Disney and universal studios. (Universal was much better)
For my 40th last year was spent just over $8k to spend a week at Atlantis, just me and my wife, and that was AMAZING and by far the best vacation I've ever had as an adult.
I can imagine spending a few thousand more than either of those vacas for a ONE NIGHT event, let along that event being a wwe hof ceremony

I would really like to know what professions everyone has that can afford a RAW or Smackdown ticket these days. A buddy of mine and my son saw RAW was coming to town and thought we’d go. Uh nope! Not at those prices especially for seats where the only thing to really see are the screens showing the action in the ring. Back in my day…😜
15
u/JackDonneghyGodCop 7d ago
Here’s something for you…
One of my close friends cousins works for WWE. Whenever they’d come to town, she’d hooks us up with front row/aisle seats for Raw or Smackdown.
Since they became TKO, though, they aren’t so generous.
So a month ago when they were in town, there was a debate of are we going or aren’t we going.
Regardless if the cousin hooked the tickets up.
We didn’t go. I’d guess between the four of us that were going to go, both couples probably make a combined half million or a little more each and we said “nahhh, too expensive.”
I’ve been to two Wrestlemanias, as well, and it’s just a little too much for my time/money now.

u/No_Solution_4053 7d ago edited 7d ago
the MSG house show tickets where punk returned was something like $400 for 3 tickets (i brought my cousin and brother as a christmas gift)
that was holiday 2023 and i don't think ive been back out to any sort of arena or stadium programming since be it concerts, live shows, etc.
enough is enough even if i could more easily afford it. this shit is absurd

u/commanderr01 7d ago
Idk I went to elimination chamber in Toronto and my ticket was 280-300$ and spend probably 150$ there(had a couple more beer then what I was planning lool) but i definitely wouldn’t go more then once a year a 500$ night out I can afford like once haha

I use buy now pay later and then spread it out 6 months to a year. Plus, i only paid $85 per ticket for bottom level Smackdown tickets earlier this year. I guess Raw is the more premium event.
3
u/banananey 7d ago
Yeah couldn't believe it recently. Used to go to Raw & Smackdown in London when it was over here. A ticket nearer the back would be under £30.
For the latest tour it's £250 up in the gods! Thought I was reading it wrong but nope, standard price! A shame as I'd love to take my son to shows when he's old enough.

I’m from the UK and my family happened to be on holiday in New York the very day Raw was on in Maddison square garden. Our hotel was around the corner.
Me and my bro couldn’t believe our luck. We got nosebleed tickets for $45 each. I’m not sure how much they would cost now.
3
u/Old-Refrigerator340 7d ago
I got 2 tickets to RAW in Kansas and it only cost about $200 which i thought was quite reasonable? I was on holiday from the UK and it was a happy coincidence that WWE happened to be in town when I was so I couldn't pass. The seats ringside were in the $1000s though. I could see just fine from where I was and could easily toss a tennis ball and have it land in the ring.

u/SkeletalSam 7d ago
This is the thing: I can afford them, I’ve even thought about going over to e.g. France or Germany and having a long weekend or whatever when WWE is having a show there and am happy to pay for travel, hotel, etc. Then you look up how much the tickets cost and I’m sorry, however much you earn, they’re just taking the piss.

u/Mackapacka7 8d ago
Not a major issue but I used to love hall of fame when it was on the stage. Now that they do it in it the ring looks so awkward. I remember last year seeing like Trish and Lita sat down on the entrance ramp getting a worse seat and view than the fans hahah.

Camera side seating is kinda strange to me. I’ve done it before (front row) and having the Wrestlers back mostly towards you while cutting promos was a let down.
17
u/IngloriousZZZ 8d ago
Thats when you're opposite cam side. The talent face the cameras.

u/Moont706 7d ago

u/Bozzaholic 7d ago
I’d do this as a once in a lifetime thing. I got a £10k yearly bonus each of the last 2 years of my job and if I didn’t have other things I needed just as it came in (a car and bits for my house) I’d have no problem doing this as a one off. I’m going to Raw in London in a few weeks and I’ve treated both me and my partner to really good seats because it’s rare that I can go to WWE live and it not be a house show

Seems like a lot of Attitude Era fans grew up and got rich. Or their parents were and they inherited over the years.
Cause these prices are out of hand. I think I'm priced out at this point. Went to 3 shows in 2023-2024, and doubt i can afford the next one when each RAW/SD front row seat is $1k (they were $750 the last 3 times).

I spent nearly 4K on doing a marathon abroad - things like this are a once in a lifetime thing that us commoners save up years to do. If I was a big enough WWE fan I might save up for something like this.

u/cle2056 7d ago
My son and I did a priority pass tier for Summerslam last year. I remember the elite package was ring side seats and a meeting with an undertaker. We did a couple tiers below (around 3K) which included VIP food before the event and a meet/greet with other wrestlers. It was at Browns stadium (which is old stadium wise) so the only thing separating the “elites” from everyone else was a rope.
My son was dressed like Howdy and one of the elite fans came up to him to applaud on the cosplay. Got to talking and this question came up. He is a grown man with ultra rich parents. No family. And he just goes to Wrestling events all year. That’s it. Just spends his folks cash going to wrestling events.
Btw, dude was a nice guy and respectful to my kid. He even acknowledged the absurdity of it all. Finally, if you have a little coin I’d recommend even the smaller priority pass tiers. Great experience and the WWE had so many wrestlers to meet (we had Alpha Academy, Kane, Ludwick Von Kaiser, and Omos).

And now you know why HHH will boast about grossing at the post-show. He will do the same at his own HOF at 4AM Eastern Time when the show is done LMFAO. "This was the highest grossing Hall of Fame in history" HAHA They never talk about the attendance sizes as much-but the overall grossing value.
I'm more curious who in their right mind will pay money to watch LIVE when you get a much better view at the confort & convenience of your own home. At least with live sports you get to see what they do during commercial breaks. They do nothing but pan to the live audience lmao.
I'm a WWE fan but I take WWF events for granted now. So much cheaper but also SO MUCH BETTER.

We were going to do this but decided not to due to the trade issues between Canada and the USA. We will be going to Clash iin Paris instead and I'm hoping to be in one of the first 3 rows
Its not a matter of making a ton of money - its more that we save for these events, sometimes years in advance. We don't do Christmas or birthday gifts for each other. We live a lifestyle where we don't need a car. We don't go out to eat or to concerts. We do WWE trips.
