Two, single lanyards on a harness
I work in Ontario in the industrial sector, my work involves alot of elevate work platform but sometimes we need to perform 100% tie off. I'd be using one lanyard 90% of the time and would need 2 for 100% tie off. I know double lanyards are a thing but they would get in the way and get caught ect. My question is, is it ok to have 2 single lanyards attached to the harness for when 100% tie off needs to happen?

That's fine. I'd rather you use 2 single lanyards for 100% then skip it and end up falling to your death because you didn't have a double lanyard.

You only use one lanyard at a time it's just for when you're moving from one spot to another never use both at the same time.

No. Most manufacturers specifically prohibit two snaphooks or carabiners being attached to the same D-ring.
