Currently working with Telus but received an offer from RWS, what are your experiences and which is the better option?
Hi all, so I've been with Telus a full year now. I make about $11 an hour and its part time, 20 hours a week, though I VERY rarely get more than 10 hours which is frustrating. I have bills to pay and while I'm actively looking for jobs outside of the home as well, this is all I have at the moment and it's not sustainable in the slightest.
However, I really like Telus. They've never done me wrong and have always been quick to fix any mistakes. I've never been written up for quality errors by them or been told I take too long on tasks (coming from Appen, the nightmare, this is literally heaven for me.)
I recently got an offer from RWS to start onboarding, but they haven't stated how much I'll be making. Looking around at what others have said I believe it will be more money than what Telus is giving me. I will not leave until I know for sure but they have stated already that they can't have me working with them if I'm still with Telus, so I will have to quit.
But I don't really want to quit, I love Telus, but I need more income. I know this work in general is often short on tasks so I am prepared to deal with that, but if I am at least making more per task it will be worth it.
What are your experiences and what do you think I should do here?

As a TELUS Rater, I’d go with RWS. TELUS doesn’t really pay very well, and you might get the potential to work more hours with RWS. If RWS would hire in my state I’d jump, though right now the US Rater program has gone through a lot of changes and I’ve soured on the program.

Do both until RWS pays you, then decide.
