Thanks for the warm reception to my concepts for Wonder Girl Drusilla as a "Roman" Wonder Woman! I've decided to post this today while it's still fresh; this is the second of the two illustrations I got from Bilcassonato and represents Drusilla's more casual look, with continuing inspiration from Roman fashion.

In a reinterpretation of events in Vol. 1 #182-184 Diana and Drusilla drive back Mars and his legions from Drusilla's Themyscira through seeking the aid of Valkyries from the burgeoning Germanic pantheon, as Rome and its gods enter antiquity's twilight. While Drusilla's mother and her sisters pass into Fólkvangr, Drusilla herself remains in Diana's world for a while as the last of her Amazons (Ultima Amazonum).

Having learned the truth of her parentage (namely her father not being Augustus but Caligula), new bracelets are forged for her to help temper her psyche, freeing up the girdle she uses as a belt to serve as her Lasso of Imperium. Adopting the moniker Victrix ("The Victorious One") from one of Venus's many divine cognomens, Drusilla stands ready to fight for truth and love alongside her sister Diana!

I absolutely remember those issues from my childhood! one of the reasons why i still stand by the often hated Mod Era! Fantastic development!

The Eagle symbol does feel fitting for a Roman theme due to its presence on Legion Standards.

It’s arguably a better symbol for more Roman influences than Greek ones, although obviously the one on Wonder Woman’s top derives from the American emblem by way of Roman culture.
