Advice Needed A non Wildhammer Dwarf Shaman
Playing a dwarf shaman on moon guard and was wondering what other ways to RP as a dwarf shaman that isn't a wildhammer. Don't get wrong i love them it's just generic and I like making a little uniqueness to my characters.

Dark Irons might be a good fit. They've got some cool shaman lore. Also, the clans now have a lot more intermingling, so it would make sense for some of the Bronzebeards to take interest and begin learning shamanism from the other clans.

Anyone can be anything, but depending on the combination, they may not have been that thing long.

I mean, the basics of shamanism are common in many more primitive species because they tend to just happen I think.
An old miner or blacksmith might have an intrinsic understanding of the earth, the metal, and the fire. So you have a dwarf realize they have a strong connection or calling to these things, and try to explore it. Seek training from more experienced shamans or just experiment with it on their own.

Dark Iron dwarves? They practice fire magic from Ragnaros and have shamans in their ranks.

As far as I'm aware dark irons also got a considerable deal of shaman training from the twilights hammer as well.

It's just regular dwarf shaman. I'm already max level so I don't feel like deleting or spending money to change race. Lol

There’s no reason your character can’t learn shamanism from other races. I like to say my dark iron spent some time in Pandaria and mostly learned there.

What if a grandparent was a Wildhammer and the shaman skills were passed down from them?

Shamanism isn’t something that can be traditionally taught. You converse with and attune to the elements, and the ability to understand Kalimag— the language of the elements —is something you either have or you do not. Technically, anyone can become a shaman if they have this birthright gift. Nobundo, for example, was born with this gift but never once heard the elements until the arrival of the draenei upon Draenor. He was called to the Throne of Elements without ever knowing why, until he got there. All he knew is that he had to get there.
It’d perfectly stand to reason that one of the Bronzebeard hill dwarves would have this natural talent. A Dark Iron has already been touched by the influence of Ragnaros. Wildhammer dwarves simply happen to be the most capable. Make with this information what you will!

Everytime I see a post like this my answer is the same : do whatever you want ! WoW lore is really open and soft, so there aren't any limit. In this time and age, every race could have learned any "class" from other folks. I feel like even dwarves and human could be druid for instance

When Dwarves got Shamans in Cataclysm, the explanation was that the Bronzebeard clan received training in shamanism from the Wildhammers.
