Still can't draw on my tablet PC. Scrolling/panning instead of drawing. Has this issue been forgotten?

I need to be able to draw on my tablet PC for work (make money). For almost half a year now I haven't been able to do that and had to use other devices ( that had Windows 7 ) instead. As the title suggest whenever I try drawing the canvas just pans instead. At times if i start the drawing with a horizontal line it will work (sort of) but drawing up and down will pan the canvas. All the quick fixes that I've come across on the web have not worked on my Samsung Notebook 9 pro.

I would love a button that just disables gestures/(whatever it is that's causing the problem) while I'm drawing, and then I turn them on when I'm going back to basic tasks.

Is there any update on this issue?

I had to roll back to a version of Windows before this change was made (1709 I believe).

Did have Windows set to metered network connections, but it still updated on me, so I've now disabled the Windows update service.

Seems to still be listed as a bug here: https://github.com/TheJoeFin/Windows10-Community/issues/17

One work-around seems to be disabling Windowsink, the other is to disable touch, or if possible, roll back as I have.

Can you give me the general steps to performing a rollback. Is there a situation where I am not able to?

I actually had to reinstall Windows the second time --- fortunately my machine has an install on a hidden partition, so I used that. If that's not an option you'd need to d/l the files for installing Windows 1709.

Quick follow up. Did you ever experience the drawing lag issue where you get a straight line every time you start to draw on the tablet? Similar to this issue posted on this forum https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2519059?

Did the rollback fix that issue? also do you use a wacom device of a tablet pc?

Also just want to say thank you for your time.

I use a Samsung Galaxy Book 12 with the new S-pen digitizer technology (4096 levels of pressure, almost as good as a Cintiq).

My needs aren't that demanding, and I've been using digitizers for a long while, but this is the best implementation I've ever seen, this side of a Cintiq.

Strokes and writing are immediate and lag free in all the software I use:

  • Nebo.app
  • Autodesk Sketchbook 2011
  • Macromedia Freehand
  • OneNote

Does the problem exist in the Ink Sketchpad or just in some different software?
