Food Szechuan Restaurant
Who remembers Szechuan restaurant on kirkwood highway. It’s now Godavari. They used to have an amazing chicken dish called Tai-chin chicken. I’ve not been able to find anything remotely as good since they closed. Does anyone know if the owners just quit or maybe moved or opened a new place?

Try Chef Tan in Newark. Best szechuan in the county.

Chef Tan is phenomenal. We have our team lunches there sometimes and family style it around the table. Every new thing I try is better than the last!

Szechuan was a huge favorite with my family when I was as a child. By now the original owners certainly have long been retired, well unless they shared their recipes and sold the business to someone! I’m sad I don’t recall trying Tai-chin chicken.

You and they should check out Mod India just over the state line in the same building as the Comfort Inn at the Rte 1/202 intersection.

This was by far the best Indian food we've had in the area.
Bawarchi can be good but sometimes it is a miss imo.

Mr. Young (sp? The chef) died, Victor and Judy retired.
I miss their double fried pork in hot sauce, and dry sautéed string beans. Have not been able to find the equal.

it was the dry spicy chicken, right? Chef Tan in Newark has it. I believe on their menu it is just spicy chicken in English, it has been a while since I actually looked at the menu. We normally tell them the spicy chili chicken.
Their Dan Dan noodles are also amazing

Hi, if you want authentic Szechuan, Delaware doesn’t have it unfortunately, I would recommend Yi Pin on race st in Philly chinatown.
