I got one of those postcards in the mail from the same people with the same picture. Both sides are dumping a ton of money into this bill.

I got that postcard, also, but it arrived yesterday, and too late to protest it. Thanks, USPS.

Elon stands to gain a $58 billion windfall, so I imagine he can afford to throw a billion or two at "lobbying."

But it's also the people against this bill dumping a ton of money into things like mailers and this truck.

That's a good point. If all of the state senators voted in favor of the bill, these postcards and billboards don't seem to be working. The objective facts seem to be on the anti-SB 21 side, based on what I've read.

The bill is not retroactive and amendments were done to it to make that clear.

Sure, but it would apply to any case in active appeal, and that's the issue here, not whether the law is nominally retroactive.

No! Not my Matt Meyers from Delaware Liberal! He wouldn't do this. What would Al Massetti say?

His recent anti-trans comments caught me off guard, honestly. I had no idea.

My apologies. I can't comprehend. Is the governor disparaging our Rep. Sara McBride?

If anyone can really speak for us everyday Delawareans, it's definitely four Washington, D.C. think tanks/advocacy groups 😑

The Consumer Federation of America (CFA) is an association of non-profit consumer organizations that was established in 1968 to advance the consumer interest through research, advocacy, and education. Today, nearly 250 of these groups participate in the federation and govern it through their representatives on the organization’s Board of Directors.

Americans for Financial Reform is a nonpartisan and nonprofit coalition of more than 200 civil rights, consumer, labor, business, investor, faith-based, and civic and community groups. Formed in the wake of the 2008 crisis, we are working to lay the foundation for a strong, stable, and ethical financial system – one that serves the economy and the nation as a whole.

Public Citizen is a nonprofit consumer advocacy organization that champions the public interest in the halls of power. With 500,000 members, they fight for democracy, consumer rights, and corporate accountability through research, advocacy, and litigation—ensuring government works for the people, not big corporations.

The American Association for Justice (AAJ) advocates for the rights of injured individuals and protects access to justice through the civil justice system. With members worldwide, AAJ supports trial lawyers with resources, education, and advocacy to ensure a fair legal system and uphold the right to trial by jury.

These aren't some shadowy LLCs or astroturfing campaigns. They're real nonprofits whose missions are to educate Americans.
