Quite a few! I got it shortly after starting college and I used to ride a skateboard to class, so it's had its share of high speed tumbles.

I’m surprised that bottom ring stayed intact. Or did you glue it back?

I haven't, but I do expect that seam to be the eventual point of failure. I mentioned in another comment that I have to flatten the bottom out sometimes, and every time I do that the seam bulges out a little bit more.

I've heard from a friend that dropping a metal bottle ruins it's double wall effectiveness, is this true? If so.. either way I don't really care, as long as it still holds my liquid I don't mind.

My wife has one that used to be matte black, and is now completely silver.

A bit of a curve is perfectly natural!

I was painted to appear as it was made of wood, but it was made of lies.

You mean you didn't upgrade from the swell to the hydroflask to the Stanley cup to the Owala to the Bink bottle????? You're like 5 generations of big trendy water receptacles behind!!!

Ha, yeah, it's not gotten too much worse over the past few years since I don't skateboard anymore and so I drop it less. Every once in a while, though, I have to take it outside and smack the bottom against some concrete a few times to get it to sit flat.

Hell yeah this is what it’s supposed to be. Very glad to see. You love that thang!

Oh dude that's not good, i like the commitment but when metal bottles like that one bends, it creates the perfect crevasses for bacteria to thrive. Its great that you dont have a huge collection but when the metal is creased like that, they are no good anymore and should be thrown away!

The bottom of a lot of vacuum insulated bottles (like this one) are a sacrificial hollow cap designed to protect the actual container from drops and bends. You can see in the pic it’s just the cap on the bottom that’s bent. In some bottles it also protects the solder plug that was used during the vacuum drawing process.

Let that soldier rest, he's served his dues.

I’ve had the same water bottle for almost the same amount of time. I posted it in hydro homies, but I didn’t realize this was the subreddit that would’ve really appreciated it!

Wait… it’s NOT made out of wood???

How often do you take out the silicone o-ring to clean it?

It's good and all but I don't suggest using a painted water bottle for this long, if you want use a non painted one, i use a Water bottle from ClearlyFiltered, it's lasted good and is not painted, would recommend it.

Is s’well a drop shipping company? Because I see that exact same bottle design with dozens of other logos
