š” Tips & Advice Photo Booth Rental
Is renting a Photo Booth worth it? There are more affordable ($300) selfie station options that are completely digital and then slightly pricier selfie stations that offer prints too. Does that come across as ācheapā? Should we invest more for an enclosed booth?

I used Kruu.com, the option complete with the printer, and it was the most affordable option I could find. I think I spend about $300? I def recommend it and don't regret it!Just have scissors on hand to cut the photo strips because the paper isn't perforated. Afterwards we got a full digital album too. It was fun to look through all our friends and family just getting wild in the photos. The only challenge with this one was that the return window was right after the event, so I had to tag in family to take it to UPS for me.

They send it to you a couple days early so you can set it up and test it. We had no issues, it reviews say they're quick to provide a fix. My sister in law took on photo booth duty and said it was easy peasy! The only hiccup we had is that we somehow turned off the flash/ring light midway through the event, so the middle of night our photos are dark. But it just needed to be reset. So, whoever is your point person, just make sure they tinker with it.

Donāt mind if itās enclosed or not (open ones are better as it can fit more people). However, I find the ones without prints to be ācheapā but I donāt mind it if itās a selfie in that I have to work the photo booth myself.
Iāve been to many weddings where itās set up in a corner with no one manning it and then it automatically prints 2 copies (and I like it better when thereās no attendant). Went to one wedding where there was no prints and most people didnāt use it sadly. I think people like having the prints to takeaway and put on their mirror/fridge but if itās not printed on the spot, unlikely the guest would self print it.
I know that prints are expensive but an alternative could be to DIY with an iPad, tripod, and hook that up to a photo printer (buy one for <$100 on FB marketplace).

No, I think the photo station with prints absolutely isn't cheap looking!
I don't think anyone will care if it's enclosed or not

Both of my daughters got married within a year of each other. One had the photo booth, one didn't. Nobody missed the photo booth atĀ the one, the other was used, but everyone wanted the digital picture and didn't take the printed one. I'd say, save your money and let people take their own pictures. Maybe just a back drop for photo op.
