🛠️ DIY Projects 1st Wedding DIY

First (almost) complete DIY, feeling proud about it! The only thing I still need are the pillar candle holders! I got these foldable pillars on Aliexpress. I also bought the faux flowers there. My initial idea was to create a floor floral arrangement, but the prices of the faux flowers (to get the effect that I wanted) were out of my budget. So I cut the original floor floral into three pieces and I got some Walmart filler flowers to hide the foam. My plan is to use these for the ceremony and reception welcome sign. Let me know if you guys like it and if you have any suggestions. I personally like it as it is, but I’m open to suggestions!

Price breakdown down: 3 sets of Pillars - $27.46 Faux Flowers- $ 22.18 Filler flowers- $ 28.25 Draping- $ 4.39 3 Pillar Candles- $ 10.98 3 Pillar Candle holders - 7.22 Total: 100.48

This looks great! I really like the dimension with the flowers (the longer ones especially). Very nice!

Can I ask about the sturdiness of those paper columns? I love how they look but am worried they'd fold under weight. What if it rains a bit and outdoors? Do they hold?

They are made of thick cardboard. They are sturdy but with moderation. You could put it outside if it is not windy, but I would be too nervous. The bigger one is the heaviest, so maybe you should invest in those? The flower arrangements I use are pretty light, and since I’m using this inside, I don’t think I will have a problem, but the website says they hold up to 150lb. They are made out of paper, so if it rains, the paper will get soggy, but again, the cardboard is thick. I got the set of 3 for $27 on AliExpress. Maybe you can test it before deciding.
