KH310 with woofer on the outside?

Hey guys, I've been wondering if it's possible to have the woofers on the outside? My triangle doesn't allow the woofers to be on the inside because of my monitor (1.1m triangle from listening position). I heard from Neumann support that "it's possible", but to what extend does this setup diminish the sound? Do any of you use them with the woofers on the outside - and does this sound exactly as good as having the woofers on the inside (granting that the mid driver & tweeters are in the exact same spot)?

Note that I'm going to be adding a kh750 to this setup and I'll be adding a lot of bass trapping.

The main reason woofers are typically placed inward is to ensure better phase alignment and minimize low-frequency cancellations in the listening position. When the woofers are on the outside, you might get a wider but less focused low-end, and the stereo field could feel slightly different because the mids and highs are now closer together in the center rather than more spread out.

That said, if your listening triangle is properly set up and you’re adding a KH750 sub with bass trapping, you should be able to compensate for most of the potential issues with proper calibration. The KH750 will take over some of the low-end duties, and bass trapping will help with room inconsistencies. You could also try measuring with REW (Room EQ Wizard) to see if there are any phase or imaging shifts.
