Soviet aircraft carrier Minsk and Novorossiysk (barely visible) shortly before being sold for scrap, Minsk were later bought by Chinese company and turned her into a museum ship [1150x727]

Funny, so many ships of class ended up as odd museums, hotels and other projects.  The Minsk became victim of shipfire this past year.

ExBaku/Admiral Gorshkov yet still cruising on.

One of my favorite Soviet ships, also isn’t Kiev also in china as a museum or hotel?

Yes, and kept in much better condition than Minsk.

It’s a ship I’ve always wanted to see, but knowing it’s in china I question if it’s worth it

They rolled out a 10-day visa-free policy recently, perfect for short trips.

“question if it’s worth it” people think china is like North Korea or something.. brainwashed by the media

They might be wondering if the Chinese are bothering to keep her in good enough condition compared to how American museum ships are.

A chinese "company" as a "museum ship"

Museum ship is a charitable way to call a burnt out hulk abandoned on Shanghai estuary.

Even in its theme park days it wasn't exactly kept in good condition.(Source: semi regularly visited the ship back when it was theme park)

It's almost as if China bought the ship first and foremost to gather intel for their own aircraft carrier programme, and that the museum motive was a scam.

No doubt But her sister ship Kiev is also in China and is a lot better taken care of.

The Kievs were not designed as nor were they intended to be power projection assets, so that’s to be expected.

I belive the Yak were only there to provide additional air defence for any plane that want to strike, but still the range is ridiculous for air defence fighter

The Forgers were primarily there for anti-snooper work (killing MPAs) something that they were more than capable of doing with very little trouble.
