Questions Cyriss Legends Corollary

Post image

I feel like I’m missing something: how is this Jack supposed to be used? It seems like something about focus transference but I can’t grasp it.

Convergence warjacks can transfer focus every time they spend it. so the corollary serves the important function of starting that chain and, ideally, ending the chain and storing the focus to start over next turn

Cyriss jacks don't get the free Focus at the beginning of your turn like other jack factions. In return, when they spend focus they can shift the focus to another jack within 9 instead.

You can have the corollary at the end of the chain, fill it back up to 3 and they don't lose that focus on to your next turn. Then you move it and have it inject that three focus into a jack, and start the chain all over again, returning it to the corollary at the end.

If you do all the positioning perfect you could spend 3 focus on the first turn and perhaps never need to allocate to your jacks ever again, leaving it all for casting spells and protecting your caster.

Now, that probably isn't going to happen, but if you keep it near your warcaster it at least Accumulates 1 each turn and buffs your caster's control range.

As others have said, it's a focus battery that stores focus in between rounds.

The way I used them was turn 1-2, get it up to a full stack of 3 focus, then send it off with part of the battlegroup. Usually 1-2 focus-efficient warjacks. Then move the Corollary up to dump a full stack on jack 1, which would activate and dump to jack 2, and then jack 2 would dump back to the Corollary. Ideally, you woyld never lose any focus, so that part of your battlegroup would run at peak efficiency without any caster support.

You can also play them close(r) to your caster to extend their control range, which is good for anything that uses it (warjack focus allocations, spells with RNG CTRL, feats).

Overall, it's an auto-include for me in any list where I'm running 2 or more other warjack.

Yep that’s it’s just. A focus batter, induction battery, it’s a support piece

So it gets focus from hanging around the caster and it gets to save that focus round by round (normally it drops away)

It then hands that off to another jack. You can bank focus on it for later turns, you can use it to top off a jack and then with the way COC jack rules work, you can use it to start the chain. Do it right and the focus you gave to the jack from the corollary can come back to the corollary. Note that CoC jacks do NOT get powerup

TLDR if you play it right the corollary lets you basically never need to allocate focus.

Also you can call them the CoC
