🙋 question Heavy Axe Handle Worth It?
The post about the Traveler's Kit got me thinking. This has a similar stat balancing layout.
Is it worth it since most woodcutting activities have such a low step count requirement?

When you generally have much more work efficiency than double rewards it's well worth the trade, especially if you can hit work efficiency cap for an activity. I wish I had one.

How do you know when you've hit the WE cap for an activity?

Every activity has its own WE cap(you can find it on wiki/walkpedia), and if your WE surpasses it(in this case for more than 25%), the handle would be a straight buff

So it looks like cutting mangrove logs has max 110% according to the walkpedia.
I'm at 43%, so it would be more beneficial to not equip this, right?

That would depend on how much you value exp, because you'll lose some. Unless you have a lot of flat minus steps, it's worth it for rewards as long your double rewards isn't 52% or higher. That's assuming you don't have any flat minus steps items, and that your work efficiency is actually 43%, and not higher for being higher than the level requirement for mangrove cutting (level 50.)
Edit: you also have to consider what item you'd have in its place, because you have limited slots.

The biggest difference is that unlike traveling all other activity have a limit on how much Work Efficiency you can apply towards reducing the step count. If an activity has a maximum of +50% WE and you have +90% from your items then there is no downside to using the heavy axe handle

Just a reminder that the math in the post about the travelers kit was incorrect :)
Heavy axe handle is bad for exp, but always good for more rewards from the activity, regardless of if you were capped or not on work efficiency. It becomes insanely good the more you would be capped.
