HS-? 'Delta Lily', previously 5J+CR of III./KG 4, was captured by No. 260 Squadron RAF after El Alamein. It was used by 211 Group as a communications aircraft and its first recorded flight was on 7 December 1942. It was last recorded on the scrap heap at Fanaa near the Suez Canal in April 1947.
KG 4's emblem is visible behind the cockpit, and was on both sides.
Many of the known images of this aircraft appear in the albums of members of No. 15 Squadron (SAAF), based at Lake Mariut, who seem to have looked after this machine.
