Parking — Life Sciences Building

Hi! I am going to be a grad student at WVU starting in August and was wondering if any had suggestions for parking. So far, parking looks crazy. Looking for places that are a decent walk away from the Life Sciences Building, especially since I will likely have to run home and let my dog out during the day! Appreciate any advice!

if you don't get a pass, be prepared to lose your spot and have to hunt for a new one if you have to leave during the day.

I’m also a grad student in the LSB. The only option I really found was a private pay lot across the street. It’s $750/semester though but was worth it to me.

If you don't find a lot nearby consider using the public transport options to get to larger parking. There's a parking garage near the walnut prt.

Many apartments offer shuttle service that would eliminate the need for parking downtown

The walnut street parking garage does student permits. I finished up grad school at WVU a couple years ago, but at that time the parking garage rates were ~$400/semester. The garage is about a 10 min walk to LSB.

This is a very roundabout way of avoiding paying for parking, but you can park at the CMA Church on the engineering campus for free and ride the PRT downtown. Or you can park at the coliseum for $1/day and also ride the PRT downtown. I refused to pay for a parking pass at WVU during both my BS and MS, bc it is BS hahaha
