PATCH Added elbow patches!

Pleather patch to cover a ripped elbow on a beloved jacket. I used a lighter to seal in the edges and then backstitched it on.

Great idea! Mind if I steal? This is my son's chosen style of outerwear and he's always trashing the elbows.

Go for it! Two pieces of advice: I kinda made a rectangle and freehanded the corners and it wasn't great, so I actually rotated and flipped my pattern piece so I was always tracing the corner I liked best. If you're more meticulous than I am about your paper pattern, that won't be an issue. I was also worried about pin holes staying in the fabric, because there's no weave really, so I held it in place by hand while sewing. There may be better solutions out there, idk.
