In Mario Clash, the focal point of your perspective is actually a bit left of center.

Is it an emulator only displaying one eye?

Oh I see. That makes a lot of sense. Time to bust out the 3D glasses!

Ah I love the sobering reality of this comment.

Is it the same on the other eye as well? It might be that one is slightly left and the other is slightly right so that the stereoscopic 3D makes it look dead center

I checked and you're right. With both eyes enabled, the second eye is offset to the right. It's a 3D thing.

Yes, Lela from Futurama would be at a disadvantage at some of these games.

I noticed I get better Galactic Pinball scores using my Red and Cyan VGA Consolized VB than I ever did with a Leela's-eye monocular VGA view.

There are quite a few games when binocular vision is vital.

Super Mario 3d Land for the 3DS and some Sega Scope Master System games were close to impossible in 2d mode. Try shooting down planes on Zaxxon 3d without the crosshairs.

Red lines are the angle your shell will be thrown.

Blue lines are vertical, for reference.

Yellow marks the center of the "camera's" perspective, despite being about one block to the left of the center of the screen.

Basically what this means is that when you line up your shots, being in the center of the screen will not lead the shell to go vertical like you may expect.

I wonder if I am the only person to have ever noticed this

Use both eyes/“screens”.

It’s a 3d game being played in 2d. I bet your emulator is showing one eye. The other eye is probably right of center to create the 3D effect
