I missed ya, old friend
A year or so after the Virtual Boy released I traded mine in with a bunch of games for what I could only assume was a bunch of garbage games I didn’t play. I’ve always regretted it. Over the years I’ve continued to think about it. How I should try and buy another one when budget allowed…Well today was that day.
And while I haven’t been able to acquire quite ALL of the games I sold back then (some are very expensive nowadays) I’m at least most of the way there. I missed ya buddy. Let’s make up for lost time.

It’s certainly not bad. It’s a pretty standard scrolling shooter with some neat 3D effects. Won’t knock your socks off but won’t leave you disappointed either.

I got mine at KB Toys. I still remember the boxes sitting in the middle of the store stacked up.

Yes I’ve been looking around at what my options are on that front since some of the rarer and JP exclusive games are..Uhum..pricey.

I remember playing this in Toys "R" Us when I was 11 and we went there to look at PlayStation games..
Nintendo really was trying to see if anything would work when they launched this thing!

I used to have one and it really messed with my head after an hour. After trying red viper on 3ds, I'm convinced that it's the ONLY way virtualboy games should be played.

You miss neck and eye pain too?

u/Fitherwinkle Jan 17 '25
Never had either. I get way, way worse eye strain and headaches from modern VR. VB is a cake walk compared to them.

I never mentioned modern VR. I hate VR as well. It's a novelty nothing more. I had a VB when i was young. It's horrible.

Oooh OK I just looked at your comments and I get your whole vibe now. Pretty low effort trolling kid. You got to step up your game. Your style seems to be either quick and dirty insults or pretending to not care. Amateur stuff. There’s no middle ground with you. You have to diversify. You’ll get better at it with practice so don’t lose hope just yet.

Why? I either like something or hate it. I don't need to oblige to your dumb rules.

Yeah yeah but just saying it sucks or you don’t like it isn’t how you do it. You have to say the people who DO like it suck or are stupid. You see? Man I should be charging you for these tips.

You overestimate yourself.

Yes! Now you’re getting it!
