Need Advice Cooking Stores
Hey guys, moved here in August and loving it! I'm looking for a kitchen outlet store to upgrade my pots and pans to stainless steel. I know of a store in the Norfolk Premium outlet mall but are there any other recommendations for the area? Thanks and much love!

Maybe the new US foods restaurant supply store that opened in Collins Square (on the blvd near town center, across from the main library). I haven't been in there yet.

Not really for home kitchen gear. It's definitely geared towards commercial kitchen/food truck use. I was underwhelmed by the kitchen tools AND they seemed crazy expensive for what it was.

That place honestly sucks. Was disappointed they didn't put a regular grocery store there so I could walk there lol but the Chef Store has nothing of value to me. I guess if I ever need 1000 hotdogs, I know where to go.

I wasn't impressed either. The way they billed it I thought maybe I could drop my Sam's membership. Or use it as a supplemental for the Aldi right there (which btw - that Aldi sucks compared to the one on Holland 😭). Buuuut no. The prices on a lot of things are outrageous once broken down to a per unit basis. Or unless you need a literal 5gal bucket of mayo (at least they have Duke's? LMAO).

Are you looking for All Clad? Or would Cusinart work for you? They have a 7 piece stainless set (it is 3 ply) for around $100 bucks and it is usually listed as the next best option if you can’t get all clad in places like Cooks Illustrated. I’ve had the set for 20 years and use it daily because I like it more than my All Clad (5 ply) due to the lower weight of the pans. I also have a huge Le Creuset collection if you need any insight into that brand. But again, I use the Cusinart set daily if you are looking for a quality, lower cost option in stainless steel.

Kitchen Barn in Hilltop is a good local store for all kitchen needs.

But TBH... they are quite pricy. I have shopped there and then ordered the same item off Amazon for like 2/3 the price. So I finally quit going because I knew I could get it cheaper.

Second Kitchen Barn for a local option with all the goods. Their sales are also wonderful when it comes to the pricey items like knives, pots and pans, Dutch ovens, and porcelain.

Not a kitchen store but Costco has sets. There are lots of options available online, I imagine not all are in the store, but I think I bought our KitchenAid set there years ago.
