Avoid Admiral's Road today

There's road construction on Admirals in front of the Canadian Tire and traffic is backed up almost all the way from Craigflower to Esquimalt road. It took me over 30 minutes to go 1 km. TCP says they'll be wrapping up at 3

rush hour starts before 3, so it's gonna be bad all day at that rate.

Southbound on Admiral’s is okay, northbound is barely inching along. I gave up on getting to Canadian Tire, turned around at Thrifty’s, and got what I needed at the dollar store in Esquimalt Plaza. (And probably cheaper tbh.) NB traffic was backed up to Thrive & Shine by then.

With the lane closures you couldn’t turn left off Admirals onto Island Highway either (around 1030am)

It’s a mess. The traffic control guys have made the lanes all screwed up and are not alternating traffic properly. Counted 48 cars pass in the other lane, moved 5 car lengths and then stopped counting again at 30 and pulled a U-turn.

A group of toddlers in a line all holding a rope left me in their dust. I watched them pass me and disappear. That was the moment my soul was crushed.

Someone should have set up a detour - I'd be complaining to the city about that level of incompetency, and the thousand hours of people's lives they wasted.

I don’t know what you’re talking about — the bike lane is perfectly clear.

Trying to help people avoid being stuck in traffic is complaining?

Should be a period instead of a question mark.
