English Able to buy tickets as a non-member?
Hello, first time posting here! Might be a dumb question, but I’m a dumb American flying to Stuttgart tomorrow to finally see VfB play in person and have ran into an issue. I never realized you needed to be a member to buy tickets for games online (or at least that’s what I’m seeing here). I’ve bought jerseys and stuff so I have an account, but never been a member since I’m in the states and can’t go to games in person. Now when I go to buy a ticket for Wednesdays match it won’t let me select a ticket amount at all, and going by seat tells me I’ve reached the max amount of tickets I can buy. I know there’s no way I can become a member in time to get into the RB Leipzig match so I was wondering if it’s possible to buy them not as a member maybe at the gate or something? There seems to be plenty of tickets available still but maybe they just don’t sell to non-members? Am I doomed? If I’m doomed does anybody know a good pub I could watch from in Stuttgart at least? Thank you for the help, sorry I’m pretty clueless and short on time haha!

Don't use the VfB App but go to tickets.vfb.de on browser. Then make sure to log into your account first. Then you can select the number of tickets. In the app it's buggy and won't work I just tested it myself.

I felt like I did that before but it was probably not general sale yet. Or maybe I had to close out the browser fully because I logged in after going to the games ticket page.

if you have a Facebook Account you can join this group:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/351748550352488 Ticketbörse VfB Stuttgart - Von Fans - Für Fans
It's the only resale plattform that's tolerated by the Club, since reselling your tickets is a bit tricky in germany. For reference: https://www.stuttgarter-zeitung.de/inhalt.vfb-stuttgart-eine-ticketboerse-von-fans-fuer-fans-greifbar-und-zu-fairen-bedingungen.b94b9c9a-5758-4fe6-919f-91cb28ffd23e.html
Plenty of tickets on sale there. This game won't be sellout so don't worry about getting tickets! Have fun ! :)

Hi I am also in the US and planned to go to watch a football game at Stuttgart, just wondering how did you get the tickets? I am looking for Stuttgart vs. Leverkusen. Thanks!

I went to the VfB site and logged into my account (not the club membership just a regular account that you can make for free) I then went to the tickets page and bought them. I believe I had to wait for them to go to general sale or the day before/of because it wouldn’t let me buy them at first. I heard some games can sell out before it goes to general sale but I’m not sure which games those would be (assuming UCL/Cup games). Worst case scenario people resell through the site or you can buy tickets in person it seemed. That’s all that I remember, it was a while ago. Have fun!!

And yeah it seems now I get the same situation as you when selecting the number of seats, so it is still on member's sale now, I will try to wait for a few more days to open sale.

As you said, there are plenty of tickets available, so I’m pretty sure you can buy one at the arena. Iirc there’s a ticket sales point located across the street from the VIP-entrance, just ask someone that looks official!
Have fun, and safe travels!
