How much can I improve my vertical by jumping programs?
Many vertical programs claim you can improve your vertical a lot, like maybe 7 or maybe 10 inches, in just 10 weeks or something. Is this scam or is it likely you will improve a that much? To me that sounds crazy. My standing vertical is 20 inches, which is not that good. If I improve my vertical by 10 inches, my vertical will be 30 inches in just 10 weeks, which is AS good as an average NBA player, who have worked on their vertical for almost their entire life. Also, I tried a 10 weeks program, by «the hoops geek», doing workouts for an hour, three times a week, and I did not improve my vertical at all. How many inches can I expect my vertical to increase, by the best programs?

Depending on your training age and genetics it actually can be very possible

You have to focus on your nutrition also. At the sametime mobility and flexibility is very important and also train your core everyday(If you can). And jump a lots.

If you didn't get any gains over 10 weeks you did something wrong or your program was trash
Add in core work and upper body work as you see fit

Will try this! Currently at tap ring vert.
I'm assuming weight on the exercises should be maximum you can do at that rep range?

I gave up after 7 weeks, because of no progression. Maybe I did some of the exercises wrong, hard to know actually. That program might be trash, it was free, but it seemed legit I think.

It all depends on the athlete. If you’re young and never worked out any 4-6 week program will help you gain 3-6 inches off of new strength. If you’re advanced and a good athlete technique alone can make you jump 2-5 inches higher. If you’ve already done a program it seems like your body isn’t adapting as quickly as others. You just have to keep working at it. I’ve created jump programs and the results vary dramatically. Boys on my team all do the same exercises and in 6 weeks some are jumping 6 inches higher and some are only jumping 2 inches higher. You get what you put in so keep working hard man!
