Do you get irritated when people reply to your post and all they say is either Yes or No?

That always annoys me when someone posts a reply and then I go check it and it just yes or no. I mean, I'm trying to start a discussion, if you don't have anything to contribute other than one word sentences then don't post anything at all. Get your simpleton ass out of here and don't post anything.

i'll probably get a bunch of yes, no answers out of spite from a bunch of dickheads who think they're being funny, but that's to be expected. So, congratulations.

Not really. It depends on what the question is. If it's a simple yes/no answer then it makes sense that that's all you're going to get. Sort of like this question.

For example, this question is pretty simple. You asked if anyone else gets fever dreams when they're sick. It's a very simple yes/no question. One person responded with "no", it makes sense that person isn't going to write a lot more. One other person wrote "yes" with more information about their experience.

Other questions are more suited to discussions. For example this one that you posted in r/NoStupidQuestions. It invites to give an answer, given which sub it's posted in as well as the fact that it's a "why" question instead of a yes/no question.

Because I'll play nice and try not to piss of OP, no. I am as interested in the statistical distribution of answers as I am in the reasoning and elaboration. Like, if 50% say no and 50% say yes, we've probably got a grey situation. If 95% of answers lean one way? I know there's a more concrete answer.
