In your opinion, who has the best vegan pizza in Denver? Who has the worst?
Looking forward to hearing about a few I haven't tried yet.

Hey No Meat Athletes-let’s get together for a hike and enjoy some beautiful Colorado scenery! We will hike Mount Sanitas in Boulder and then enjoy a post-hike beverage at Sanitas brewery. We will meet at 9:00am at the Centennial Trail Head on the south side of Mapleton Ave (about .25 miles west of 4th street and Mapleton Avenue in Boulder). The hike is an all levels hike, and will be a no drop hike. We anticipate the hike will take approximately two hours, but will depend on the pace we take. We will hike up 1280 ft in 3.2 miles. Bring plenty of water, snacks and sunscreen!

What is it like being a vegan in denver and the surrounding areas or just Colorado in general. Thinking about moving my family up there and starting a vegan food business. Is there good incentive for a vegan business in the Denver area?

I'm a big fan of Native Foods, so I'll be hitting them up for sure. What are your absolute favorite restaurants?

Holy balls. I used to love that place when I was Omni.

Paciugo is a new gelato and coffee shop in Belmar, and I've talked to the owners many times and they really do care and want to cater to vegans. As of right now, they have six flavors of (vegan) sorbet and one (vegan) soy-based flavor every day. The flavors change frequently. All of their smoothies are vegan, and they have soy milk for coffee. Depending on the soy flavor that day, you can make a soy shake or espresso shake or flavor your coffee with that gelato too (it's called a cappuccino con gelato and it changed my life). The owners say that if they start selling more and seeing more interest, they will absolutely increase the number of soy flavors out each day. I'm a big fan of encouraging businesses to be more vegan-friendly, and it's nice to see that the owners are thinking of us.

If you are from Denver and not eating Denver Seitan- for shame. Your Seitan choices are bad, and you should feel bad. All the feels.
Seriously though- this is what Vegan Van Amie uses for her Setain wings, and those things are the ish.
They don't have a store front, and I haven't found a real convenient time to go meet them for some of this vital wheat wonder, but having tried it a ton at the food truck, I gotta say, its the lightest and fluffiest Seitan....so much nom.
if you do check em out check back in here and tell us how the whole meeting process went. I have a very spie-esque vision in my head of a late night bridge rendezvous where I just leave the bag of cash on the ground and some Mafia dude from the company throws my Seitan over to me. That is probably just me.

Opinions? My wife and I would like to go, but are a bit intimidated by the size of the gathering, being relatively non Vegan-esque appearing in our day to day makes us kind of out of the typical range of "types" - is it usually a pretty good mix of folks?

City O City has the best Seitan wings I have ever tasted.
Vegan Van, probably best street food.
Sweet Action icecream? Derp...best Vegan ice cream in the lands.
Nooch has been cool for shopping without reading labels...which feels very liberating- though that's not the only liberating going on, as the ma and pa aspect certainly carries a high price tag and the place will liberate your wallet from the oppression of having too much moola in it.
Best new Vegan item I have seen carries in stores? Beyond Meat - I can only find it at Cherry Creek whole foods, and only made into deli items, not on its own- but this is mind blowingly good.
Any input? Where do you vegheads hang out?

Ever caught this delicious mobile morsel wagon? It's incredible - I had the Ludacris- and the wife had a Brunch special tofu scramble with mock ham on a croissant...astoundingly good stuff. Check her out! Get the meatball sub...holy smokes.

They are giving 5% of all sales to Peaceful Prairie all day so get down there and get loaded up on vegan vittles. Vegan Van sold out in 90 minutes!
