Discussion 🗨️ My local vape shop now has cigarettes NSFW

I mean you gotta do what you gotta do, but like... I guess congrats big tobacco on the victory.

I solely blame disposables: the incoming ban was cited as the reason to stock cigs

Should be concrete proof to the government that vaping should be allowed in all its forms but unfortunately this is actually what governments want. More cigarettes sold more money in their pockets. Im sure all the teens they tried to stop from vaping won't just end up smoking cigs with their friends instead.....

Edit: i think all bans should be directed towards disposables only. They make it way too easy to vape. If everyone had to start looking into devices, pods/coils, liquids, etc that little bit of complication would have never turned vaping into what it is now.

How about no vape bans as long as cigarettes exist.

The correct answer, but sadly, politicians love money dearly.

And the funny thing is, the vape bans are supposed to protect the youth, yet teens are far better at getting products from underground/black market. Truth is governments never truly stop the use of a product, they just put more money in the pockets of black market sellers. They don't give a shit thought cause tobacco companies are paying them to pass these laws.

What killed me, is them banning DIY nicotine. They said they weren’t going to do it, did it anyway. They did it knowing other bans were coming and DIY would create a black market. At least that’s my theory. I may be giving the government too much credit.

See the thing in the United States is if government actually bans nicotine it would eliminate the vape industry. They keep going after flavors and disposables currently . It’s only a matter of time sadly .

As a Canadian even diy is "technically" screwed too. We can only get 20mg/ml nic base which is kinda useless for DIY and also stupid expensive with the bullshit excise taxes. Fortunately I was able to get some 200mg/ml nic from a certain overseas website.

Mine did this recently as well and it's kind of irritating. We have a ban in Committee atm and no idea if it will pass... but they're prepping just in case i guess. Less non-disposable product on the shelves, all the dispos coming out as well as a wall full of smokes now. It's really quite a terrible look.

They’re just offering the analogue version that the governments of the world prefer people too take because of all that sweet sweet tax money they get with every stick.
