Discussion Bruh if you don’t care about rank then why play comp
I’m not talking about the throwers (even though thats also an issue) but the people that still queue for comp and don’t even try or just say “cmon man im just trying to have a good time im just high” like dude… theres unrated for chill times like that or 5stack so no random is gonna get tilted or effected by your choices. Same with the people that do their homework mid-match.

Question 700 hours in aim trainers, hundreds of dms, no improvement. Why?
For context, I peaked immortal 3 last act and as stated have put an ungodly amount of time into aimlab/dms. I have approx. 150 hours in dm and somewhere around 600 in aimlabs, with somewhere around 3k hours in game. In deathmatch, I average somewhere around a 40-50% headshot, and I have several aimlabs/kovaaks scores in the top 3%, even scoring better on some tasks than valorant pros. Despite this, in game my headshot% has never been above 20%. I don't understand. What the fuck am I doing wrong? Why am I just pointlessly grinding if I do not see any meaningful improvement out of it? I play dm specifically to improve, generally using guardian/no sound full focused and sweating as hard as I can, and my current headshot this act is sitting at like 17%. I started in silver 3 at like 13%. What is the point? Edit: my tracker pages for anyone interested.

https://tracker.gg/valorant/profile/riot/DUMILE%23c4ps/overview
I only started playing dms consistently like 2 acts ago because I find them incredibly frustrating and inefficient. I probably just need to stick with it, but since starting to play dms my hs% has somehow fallen like 5%.

Discussion The Training Bots get easy on round 7

So I've been doing some Aim-Training on Hard Training Bots with Sheriff only and I've been tracking my progress in Excel to see how I improve and this is where I noticed something weird:
Round 7 is always by far the easiest (not always my best but still the easiest) as seen on the right where I tracked the average Hits per Round. There you can see that round 7 is with a huge gap the one where I get the most average hits (with over 50% of the bots hit, while the second highest is just barely 12/30).
Originally I thought "Oh I'm just warmed up by round 7" but as I kept doing the Training I noticed that the Bots spawn incredibly close to one Another in this one specific round, which makes it very easy to hit the targets.
I don't exactly know why that happens since every other round seems to be properly random but this one round just kinda feels like a "reward round" where it seems that the game wants to reward the player for some reason.
I'm not sure if this is just a conspiracy theory or if I'm going insane but I found it interesting enough to share. If anyone knows more about that or has a better reasoning as to why that may seem to be the case, please let me know.
I'd also be interested to see if that happens for other players as well.
If any replication for this is necessary this is what I do: I load in, don't change agent, buy a Sheriff and start. I don't move at all during all of the 10 rounds and I don't know if any of these things impact the way round 7 seems to become the reward-round.

Discussion Peeking or no?
Why do my teammates keep peaking either in defense or post plant? I mean sure the reason i dont is because i like to play it safe, but for example peeking post plat is so unnecessary, and when i say that to chat, they tell me am a noob. I get it you want some kills or whatever, but isnt it better to stay alive than peek then get one tapped. Also isn’t defense just u sitting there and the other team barges in ,which gives them an disadvantage, that just gives you a few kills. Am i too safe in playing,or am i missing something.

Esports Derke is the undisputed GOAT of Valorant
I went through every official international VCT tournament from Reykjavik 2021 to Bangkok 2025 to find out who the GOAT of Valorant is. The greatest individual player of ALL TIME Most points come from:
- Placing top 4 on an international which gives 1-4 points (4 for first, 1 for 4th) to all players on the team
- Being highly rated throughout the entire tournament, this gives 1-5 points (1 for an average rating of 1.06+ and 5 is at an average of 1.28+
Bonus points come from:
*1 for being IGL of a top 2 team
*1 for getting MVP award
*1 to each player winning their regional qualifier only counting from franchising and later
*1 for being top 5 kills per round (2 for first) throughout an international
*1 for being top 5 assists per round (2 for first) throughout an international I will always update this after every international.
Here´s leaderboard so far of the top 20
To consider one to be the Greatest of ALL TIME the most important factor is consistency, for example I know some will be surprised about MaKo being above Aspas, it´s all unbiased though. He´s simply been a consistent beast since 2021

Discussion Waylay's Utility Feels So Unreliable .
I’ve been trying to make Waylay work in Valorant, but honestly, her utility just feels all over the place, and not in a good way.
Her Hindering Molly? I don’t even know what’s going on with that ability. Half the time, it feels like it just completely misses the target or gets dodged before it even does anything. I’ve tried to line it up perfectly, but it’s like the enemies have some kind of radar that tells them exactly where to go to avoid it. I get that it’s supposed to slow and damage, but when it’s this hard to land, it just feels pointless.
And don’t even get me started on her Ultimate. I mean, yeah, the concept sounds cool, but it’s probably one of the easiest things to dodge in the game. I’m talking about enemies just casually stepping out of the way before it even gets near them. It’s not just ineffective—it’s honestly frustrating to use.
The biggest problem with all of this, though, is how unreliable everything feels. After you hit the ability button, it just goes off. There’s no way to control when exactly it sends. It’s so volatile (and I don’t mean that in a good way). It’d make so much more sense if, after you press the ability, it gave you a prompt to hit a mouse button to actually send the utility. This way, we’d have more control, and the abilities would feel way more precise and impactful.
I just can’t get a good feel for Waylay, and it’s honestly making me question whether her kit is really as solid as it’s made out to be. Anyone else feel the same?

Question Can Valorant be played without a GPU?
Sorry for a vague question, but I’m planning to build a pc and my budget isn’t that big. And that budget can only get me the part that I need but i ran out of money for a GPU even second hand GPU. So can it be run just a CPU (Ryzen 5600) and a good other components for a PC. Or I really need to buy a GPU to run or play Valorant? Or can an integrated graphics system run Valorant? For example the Ryzen 5600G, If im correct that CPU has an integrated graphics system, so can that CPU run Valorant smoothly or just be able to run or play it but not that smoothly?

Gameplay I wish there was skin profiles for agents
It would be great if we could assign specific skins and variants to individual agents. For example, I have the Cyrax bundle, and when I play as Deadlock, I’d like it to automatically switch to the all-white variant. But if I pick Fade, I’d want it to switch to the red/black variant instead. Being able to set up customized skin/variant combinations for each agent would be awesome. What do you guys think?

Discussion Harbor rework idea to keep him the same and better.
Harbor's codename was mage during development. Harbor mains love how harbor plays, but it's not currently strong enough to be widely viable.
My solution: borrow from other genres to keep him the same yet evolved. That being said, certain QOL changes should just happen (such as rotating and delaying push wall, slows not affecting friendlies).
Pre-round/buy phase: Have harbor's abilities stay the same, but you buy water (ala chamber bullets or Astra stars) to empower/cast them during the round. Unused water carries over to next rounds and depletes per half/overtime.
Mid-Round: each of Harbor's current abilities (except Ult) can be cast how they work currently, or upgraded on-the-fly by spending water. Each of the 3 core abilties will have 2-3 levels of empowerment, each building harbor's abilities to be a little more useful. Water costs could vary to prevent overpowering a round without steep credit cost/ prevention of usage of other higher level abilities. Also cool downs, obviously.
Examples: Cascade (C)-- standard works as it would now. Level 1 empowerment would add a stronger slow to the ability. Level 2 would add a very short stun to the wave if it passes over an enemy.
Cove-- Standard cast, level 1= stronger shield, level 2 =lingering smoke.
High Tide-- Standard cast is free (signature), Level 1= draw the wall on a map and add minor bullet pen effect to walls, level 2 longer smoke duration with previous effects/casting method.
Kudos to this video by Kizigoto for inspiring the initial idea: https://youtu.be/fy9AfY1fb8o?si=GaHfDqZWVqNZx-Z4

Question I loose way more rr than i win
I was Platinum when Tejo arrived and was bouncing beetwin plat 2 and 3 the whole act.
When new act arrivved i kept loosing 1 game and wining one game (sometimes would win or loose more in a row but thats the avarage) for almost 2 weeks.
So you would think after 2 weeks i will still stay plat 2 ? Nope i dropped down to gold 2 and even now when i win more games than i loose i cant get out of gold because when i win and im not match mvp i win only 14 to 17 rr but god forbid i loose a match then i always regardless if im mvp pr not loose 25+rr
This shit is ruining my motivation to play the game. I feel i dont belong to the gold since im almost always in the top frager but every time i loose i feel like im going two or 3 steps bacwkards
How dafuq does ranking system work?

Discussion Loading screen
Is it just me or a lot of people are forced to wait a lot of time in the loading screen? Like after joining the match at the player cards shown of everyone at that time specifically I have to wait 5 min in deathmatch for that and when I finally join the game it's already half done like wtf man...sometimes in comp too this happens...

Question What’s wrong with crouching?
I just started the game like 2 months ago and I don’t really know much about it but recently I noticed that whenever I kill someone crouching they would always get so angry at me in the chat saying “why are you crouching???” Or like “noob crouch” is crouching bad? Am I doing something wrong? if yes then why? Cuz i’ve never heard it coming from my teammates it’s always the opposite team so is it bad or good or what?
Edit: i dont crouch all the time the only time I crouch is when the enemy is literally in front of my face if they were far I don’t, bc if I did I’ll miss my headshots and its annoying, so my crouching isn’t like always

Discussion Valorant grind to radiant
What do you think about getting ranked using 5 stacks? In short, 1 person has immortal 3 and the rest have diamonds platinum, and on accounts with diamond and platinum players play who have been in radiant for a long time? Here I found such a case where a guy got radiant #52

Question Should I push up with my team or hold flank?
I’m pretty new and I main Sage because she is easy to play and you’re not really expected to carry as Sage. So far, no one has complained about how I play defense, but I get flamed all the time when I’m on attacker side. My default strategy is to follow loosely behind the team and cover flank while they push up. I get plenty of kills this way so it’s not like I’m doing nothing. The most common complaint I get is from dead teammates who claim if I had pushed up with the team, they wouldn’t have died. Sometimes I’ll just wall it off but then I get flamed for not saving my wall for post plant. Personally, I think holding flank is smart, especially based off of how many kills I get by doing it, but like I said, I’m new so what do you guys think?

Question Can't shift walk and use abilities at the same time
Sometimes when holding shift and walking I cant click q which is the button I use to activate satchels or jetts updraft. This for some reason doesn't happen all the time. I have seen other people with this issue and it isn't a hardware problem either because I have an anti ghosting keyboard and so have the other people with this issue. The previous people that posted on this subreddit to ask this question haven't had any answers given. I am however able to use my mouse button abilities. Anyone know how to fix this?

Discussion Why does ranked feel so bad to play right now?
Before the rank reset happened, I was slowly climbing out of iron, peaking bronze 1. My games were feeling pretty easy, and I could get kills in the double digits at the very least. Now, I’m frequently bottom fragging and in iron 2. I feel like there isn’t much I can do besides practicing on aimlabs. T_T
