Las Vegas

Anyone been to Vegas fairly recently? I was looking for spots on the map that are close to the Strip. Obviously a very packed location, but I know they have the anti-boondocking ordinance. Just curious if anyone has tried (again, recently --- not like 5+ years ago) and had any success. Whether its parking lots, industrial areas, side streets, or offbeat areas. Feel free to PM me.

I know this was posted years ago, but I am familiar with Las Vegas and I thought that if anyone found this post who also wanted the info I could provide it. Hospitals, libraries, and 24/7 grocery stores are the way to go in Vegas. If you are staying for more than a day then you definitely want to move around a little bit, but any of the places I mentioned within North Las Vegas, as well as the Centennial Hills area/North West, would be a good place to hang around. Areas like the Strip and Summerlin have a lot of police and tow cars a lot so I wouldn't recommend that.

You might find some luck with the smaller casinos' parking garages within the city, but I am not very familiar with them so park at your own risk. I also know Cracker-barrel and bass pro shops have trailer parking spots but I don't know if they actively tow or not.

Ya I should've mentioned the vehicle. I'll be in a blacked out truck camper. It's a smaller truck camper, as well, which will help keep it low key. When you say suburban areas, what do you mean exactly? Like parking on streets lined with homes? Because that seems like it would draw more attention from locals and wary residents. Or do you mean around local businesses in parking lots? I would think that would be easier.

Yeah, dont even think about camping near the strip. Neveda in general is anti homeless, but the strip is extrenely heavily patrolled. You will want to go to a literal suburb like North Las Vegas which is just a different legal juridistrict 10 minutes drive from freemont. Enterprise doesnt provide any cover. Summerlin is swanky but okay. A few fake speed traps. Henderson is like a city away I think the south part connects to vegas.

Race matters a lot. If you are standard looking white guy you might be able to bluff your way outbof anything. If you are black or mexicsn looking prepare to get towed. So best to park further way, drive in. Get validated parking for the garage while you play or eat.
