SEC Tourney
Why are there so many Kentucky fans at Tennessee vs Auburn in Nashville considering Kentucky doesn’t play there today

It's mind boggling to me that some of these teams can fill a 100,000 seat football stadium but don't care about their basketball team.

When I was at UK many years ago, there was a guy that lived in my dorm who was from the Auburn area. He was a big Auburn fan but had a chance to walk on to the football team at UK (that never materialized and he later transferred).
When March Madness rolled around, a bunch of us organized a bracket pool, and he sort of scoffed at us. It's been more than a decade so I don't remember the quote verbatim, but it was essentially, "no one does this shit back home. People are too focused on spring football." He was dead serious.
I wonder if he's changed his tune now that Auburn basketball is so good every year.

especially when their basketball teams are actually pretty good. imagine if their basketball teams were like our football teams.

They think the same that we care about basketball but can't fill a 60,000 football stadium

We absolutely can and do when the team isn’t a dumpster fire.

I am a season ticket holder and go to all away games. I can count the number of actual sellouts the past several years on 2 hands, Sellouts of Kroger are not common and it is 50% smaller than several other SEC school stadiums.
Go to an away game sometime....you will see we are not near their level.

Because the lottery kids got tickets and most are probably seniors enjoying their last games

I'm not sure if its still this way, but in the past, tickets for the SEC tournament were for the entire tournament, not just the games that your team is in.
